Second Full-moon

Gin's POV

I'm watching Amira play on the playground. We'd left the house early after breakfast. Jenna had gone to do something for Carol. While Elena and Jeremy are at home with Bonnie visiting. Anyway I'm sitting on a bench watching Amira when Elijah sits beside me. "What about leave my and my daughter alone did you not hear?" I ask him.

"I only wish to know why your daughter triggered her curse so young? I take it, it was an accident" he states.

"If I tell you, will you leave us alone?" I ask him. He nods his head. "It was the day she was born, my heart stopped during her birth. I was legally dead for a couple of minutes, before the doctors brought my back" I explain.

"You must of been scared when your daughter transformed for the first time" he states.

"Terrified" I tell him. "But it's been years now, Amira feels no pain shifting and has control of her wolf self" I state. "I know Klaus needs a werewolf for the ritual and I don't want him to use my daughter or her cousin. Can you protect her?" I ask him.

"I assure you, no harm will come to your daughter or her cousin" he assures me. "I have an appointment, you have a nice day" he tells me. I sigh as he left and went back to watching Amira. I notice a girl eyeing and I don't like it.

I go over to Amira. "Lets go home" I tell her.

"Yes mum" she says. I wrap an arm around her and shot a glare at the girl that was staring at her. I lead my daughter away. We go home and see Elena on the couch with Jeremy. Amira squeals and runs over jumping on top of them.

I smile and go to the kitchen. I start to make us all sandwiches for lunch. Elena soon appears. "Got free I see" I say with a smile.

"Did you know I'm trapped in the house?" she asks me.

"Yes, I gave Bonnie permission to do it. I told you no more suicide missions" I tell her.

"It'll protect you all if I could lead Klaus far away" she states.

"I am not losing anymore family Elena, end of discussion" I tell her. I take the plate of sandwiches to the lounge. Where Jeremy and Amira are playing a video games.

(Time skip)

"Mummy, why do you have your gun?" Amira asks as I grab it from the trunk with the camping gear.

"I feel like I'll need it tonight, stay close" I tell her. She nods her head. I close the trunk and lock the car. We set off, we're camping somewhere different. As there are other campers out tonight. I called Caroline earlier and she says she & Tyler have everything under control on their end.

We arrive at the camp site and I sent up the tent. Then start a fire as Amira starts to turn. While she turns I go into the tent to set up the sleeping bag. When I hear Amira yelp. I grab my gun and run outside to see a wolf holding her by the scruff of the neck while she whimpers in fear.

I shoot at it's legs. Scaring it and it drops Amira. Who runs to me and cowers behind me. I cock the gun as the wolf growls at me. "I don't know who you are, but you are not taking my daughter from me" I sneer. It steps forward and I fire again. Scaring it off.

"Are you ok Amira?" I ask concerned. As I crouched down examining her neck. No blood, but it maybe bruised. If I see the wolf again, it's dead. I hear a twig snap and turn pointing my gun at Elijah.

"I thought you may need help, appears I was wrong" he states. "I'm on my way to free Stefan from the tomb" he tells me. Amira growls at him.

"Easy Amira" I tell her. "Why would you want to free Stefan?" I ask Elijah.

"Made a deal with Elena" he states.

"You spoke to my niece?" I ask him and he nods his head. "Guess she has something to tell me tomorrow" I state as I lower my gun. "Think that wolf will be back?" I ask him.

"Perhaps, but maybe not tonight. Something tells me she has other things on her mind" he states. "I could have my warlocks do a spell to ward it off" he tells me.

"Then Amira and I could sleep in peace" I say. "Ok, call your warlocks" I tell him. He nods his head. He made the call and left. While I sat down with Amira in my lap. I stroke her fur as she calms down. I notice the warlocks in the tree line, but ignore them as they cast the spell. Giving Amira her toys, while making some food.

After we ate, we turned in early. I held her close. When we woke up. I packed up and we went to the grill for breakfast.
