Cure for Werewolf Bite

Gin's POV

It's been a couple of days since my twin died. Things are slowly settling down. There has been no sign of Klaus or Elijah since that night. Today, we're in the town square to have a picnic while watching Gone With the Wind with the others. Amira smiles pointing out all the pretty dresses. As some of the town has decided to dress up for the occasion.

"You brought me to see a girl movie" Jeremy says unimpressed.

"I didn't pick the movie, the council did" I tell him as Amira helps Elena set up the blanket.

"We had to get out of the house, Jer. This is our three-hour distraction from reality" Elena tells him. I nod my head in agreement.

"Is that what we're doing? Pretending like our lives aren't screwed?" Jeremy asks. I give him a pointed look.

"We need to do this, okay? Breathe, eat, sleep, wake up, and do it all over again until one day, it's just not as hard anymore" Elene tells him. "For Amira's suck and ours" she adds. Caroline arrives with a couple of baskets and places them in the middle of the blanket.

"Hey! There you guys are. Who's hungry?" she asks.

"I am!" Amira cheers and we all chuckle.

"Are we really doing this?" Jeremy asks.

"Yes, we are really doing this. We are going to take a page from Scarlett. We made it through the war" Care states. She kneels down on the blanket beside Elena and Amira. "I know you guys went through hell, and my mom knows I am a vampire, so basically it's like Atlanta has burned. And yet, in spite of everything, we persevere" she rants.

"All right" Jeremy relents sitting down on the blanket. "What are we eating?" he asks.

"Something good" Care states. I look up at the sky.

"I think we'll need an umbrella. It's very sunny today and we don't have much shade" I state. "I'll go get one and sunscreen for us who get sunburn" I tell them.

"We'll take good care of Amira" Elena assures me.

"I know you will" I say with a smile. "Amira, stay with your cousins and do whatever Elena tells you too" I state.

"Yes mummy" she says. I kiss her forehead and left. I get in my car and drive to our house as I haven't moved everything to the Gilbert house. Only the essentials. I arrive and find the umbrella straight away. But now for the difficult task of finding the sunscreen.

After nearly ten minutes, I decide to give up and just go buy a bottle from the shop. I left the house and lock up. I start to head for the car, when I feel myself being watch. I continue to walk surveying the area. I reach the car and find my car key. When I feel a presents behind me. I turn to punch the person and they catch my fist in their hand chuckling.

"Still feisty I see" he says and I freeze. It's Klaus. "Glad to see you survived our last encounter, but I warn you now. Don't anger me again, this time you don't have a ring to bring you back" he states.

"What do you want?!" I snap snatching my hand back. "You took away my niece and twin, why must you continue to torment me?!" I demand.

"I only wished to apologize for your sister, her death was regrettable" he states.

"You could of used anyone" I retort.

"I could have, but I wanted Elena to suffer. I knew using a family member would do that" he states. "Had I taken more time to consider my options, I probably would of done things differently" he adds. I scoff. "Believe what you will, but I want you to protect your daughter always. She is lucky to have a mother like you" he tells me.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"Do you not know my story? How I became cursed?" he asks and I give him a blank look. "It was my mother, she damned me. She had an affair with a werewolf and I was born. Then she turned my siblings and I into vampires. Then when I killed for the first time, quiet by accident, I didn't have control back then. It triggered my werewolf, exposing her affair. Instead of impressing me and helping me learn to control my new body. She cursed me, locking away my werewolf half" he explains.

"You could of easily hated or been disgusted by your daughter. But you weren't, you love her with all your heart and were willing to die for her" he states. "My mother would never do that for me and I envy your daughter" he tells me. "Please never change Gin" he says and disappears.

How could a mother do that to their own child? Turn her back on them. Great, now I feel sorry for Klaus I curse myself. I get in the car and drive to the store. I get the sunscreen and return to the square. Care sets up the umbrella, while I do Amira's sunscreen. Before applying some to my exposed skin. "Jeremy" I say.

"I'm good" he says.

"Your own fault if you get sunburn" I tell him. "Where's Elena?" I ask.

"Stefan arrived after you left, they had a talk and she left" he states. I sigh and take a sandwich for the plate. As Bonnie joins us and we watch the movie.

(Time skip)

"All this waiting around for news is ruining Scarlett for me" Care whines. Jeremy's phone rings and he sighs in relief. He walked away to answer it. As Amira snuggles into my lap as I stroke her hair lovingly. I'll never leave her or stop loving her. Jeremy comes over and tells us about Damon hallucinating with a werewolf bite. Apparently Stefan was looking for a cure and Damon is now on the loose.

"If Damon is off the rails, there is nothing you can do to stop him. Let us take care of it" Bonnie states.

"You keep doing this. You left me behind before, and guess what Jenna still died. Now I'm going to find my sister. You go ahead and you try to stop me" Jeremy tells her.

"Becarful Jeremy" I tell him. "Meet at my house once you find Elena, no vampire is invited in there" I state. He nods and hugs me before leaving. "I have to get Amira somewhere safe, are you sure you guys can handle this?" I ask the girls.

"We got it" Bonnie assures me.

"I'll pack up here" Care adds. I nod and left with Amira in my arms. I drive us home and we go straight inside.

"Mummy" Amira says.

"Everything will be fine sweetheart" I assure her. "Stefan will find a cure for Damon and everything will be alright again" I state. "How about we watch a Disney movie? Your choice" I tell her.

"Balto!" she cheers and I smile. She goes to put it on while I go make popcorn. I also grab a blanket. I sit on the couch with her in my lap, the blanket over us. She holds the bowl of popcorn as I hit play.

(Time skip)

I got a text from Jeremy, Elena was safe and sound. I then got a call from Elena later. Stefan had found a cure and Damon was going to live. But Stefan was apparently leaving with Klaus. As he had made a deal with him to save Damon's life. Both her and Jeremy assured me they'd be fine for the night. So I tucked a sleeping Amira into her bed and made sure the doors were locked. Before calling it a night myself.
