I was at Uncle Ty's house, with my cousin Xavier. My mother had to work late hours tonight and I had to spend the night with them. I still hadn't bond with them but they were used to my ways, if that makes sense.
"My dad said he ordering pizza. What kind you want?" Xae said coming around the corner on his phone.
"Bacon and ham." I said and he nodded. I was watching Beyond Scared Straight on Netflix and it was pretty amusing.
My phone buzzed and it was a text from Marlo.
Marlo💛- wyd?
at Xae's house , im spending the night
Marlo💛- tell that nigga I'm coming over there

I closed out my messages and got up to go get Xae. I walked up their stairs and went up to his door. It was open so I walked in.
"Wassup?" He said noticing me.
"Marlo said he on his way over here."
"Aight."
I walked back out and went downstairs to get back on the couch. Through the curtains, I saw headlights. It was either the pizza man or Xae.
"Uncle Tahj! Someone's at the door!" I called out as the person knocked.
"Go get it Xae!" I heard him yell. Xae came down the stairs and looked at me before opening the door.
"How much is it?" He asked and then I smelled pizza. The pizza man is here. I heard him tell Xae the amount and he paid him then took the pizza and closed the door. He had four boxes with him.
I waited until he sat them on the table to go wash my hands. I heard the door open.
"Damn, you got pizza? Shit, I'm glad 'cause a nigga was hungry like shit." I heard Marlo say as he came in. I dried my hands and then went back in the front.
I looked through the boxes and found the bacon and ham pizza and sat on the couch with it.
"Hey, mean ass. Lemme get some." Marlo said sitting next to me. I mugged him and turned the box towards him. He chuckled and took a slice.
"Ay, don't be muggin' him." Xae said and I took a bite of a slice and mugged him too. Him and Marlo laughed.
"I do what I wanna do." I said and started eating my pizza.
"Shit, me too." Marlo said.
"Nigga, no you don't. Alexus got you wrapped around her finger." Xae said laughing and Marlo smacked his lips.
"She been gettin' on a nigga nerves lately." He said sighing as he finished his slice.
I didn't wanna be nosey so I went upstairs with my box and knocked on Uncle Ty's door. He told me to come in so I did.
"Wassup kid?" He said as I sat on his bed. I shrugged.
"I don't know, I just wanted to be around you." I said honestly. He chuckled and nodded.
"How you liking school?" He asked taking a slice of my pizza, but I didn't mind.
I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"It seems like everyone there wants attention, and people can't get the hint that I don't wanna talk to them. I hate it." I said.
"Yeah, me and your dad hated high school too. Just keep ya' head in the books and you'll be cool, kid." He said nudging me. I looked at him thought about my dad.
"Can you tell me about my dad? I miss him and he won't write me back." I said. He looked at me and sighed.
"Kennon was so mean and quiet when he was your age, and he had a badass temper. When you were born, he changed completely. He was a lil nicer to us, and your cousins. You was his everything and he never let anything happen to you. Girl, anything you wanted he got for you. I remember he would tell us stories about you wanting ice cream at four in the morning and the nigga so crazy, he'd go get it for you." He said. I was laughing at this point.
"You gonna have to talk to ya moms on why he won't write you back though, kid."
"Every time I bring it up, she says she doesn't know or one day he might. I don't understand why I can't visit him either. It makes me mad." I said getting upset.
He sighed and shook his head.
"Everything gone fall into place one day, Katoria."
