Kaleb Halim
"When I find out who the fuck you are, you're done for! You hear me?!" I yelled at the four men. Brandon was still knocked out cold next to me in the chair they tied him up too. They had me tied up too, and it was hurting my wrist.Several Hours Earlier
"Baby, I know. I miss you too. I'll be home soon. Give Kae a kiss for me, will you?" I spoke into the phone as I sat across from Brandon. We were on lunch break, at one of Alyssa's favorite spots to eat, Chipotle.
"I will, I cant wait to see you tonight. You know, it's been a while, Kaleb." She said making me sit up.
"I know, but don't worry, I gotchu. Ask your mom if she can watch Kae first though. We can't have a repeat of last time." I said. Kae had walked in on us right when I was about to get off. Talk about blue balls...
"I already did, and it won't happen again, baby. What are you doing?"
"Out eating with Brandon, what are you doing?"
"Oh, tell him I said hello, and well, I'm just watching Kae. She keeps biting on everything. I'll be glad when this phase of hers is over." She said making me laugh.
Brandon got my attention and tapped his watch letting me know it was time to go.
"I'll have to call you later, babe."
"Ugh, okay. I love you."
"I love you too, and let Kae know I love her too."
"I will, bye baby."
"See you later, babe." I said and hung up. Me and Brandon got up and left out. We had taken his car just because. We got in his car and once I fastened my seatbelt, I was knocked out cold.
Now here we were, somewhere other than Maryland for sure, in a basement. How could he have forgotten to lock his car? Maybe they broke in, but the alarm would've went off...
"You don't need to know who I am, or anything else. Katoria!" One of the men called out and in walked a girl that looked a little too young to be around all these grown men. I took a careful look at her face and noticed that she had the same eyes as me, and features.
"Hey, Kaleb." She spoke but I could tell it was forced.
"Who the fuck is she and what the fuck is going on?" I asked. I looked to my right to see Brandon was still knocked out and blood was running down his face.
"I'm Katoria, your sister."
"What?" I asked completely confused. There was no doubt that we were related, she looked like a female version of me, just younger. What I was so confused about is why am I just now knowing of her and what was she doing.
"Our dad kills people for a living, and he killed that man's son." She said pointing at a man with his arms folded staring me down.
"What does that have to do with me?"
"A life for a life brother." She said basically letting me know that I was getting killed shortly.
"Well, could you at least let my friend go? He has nothing to do with this."
"He's already dead. Where would he go?" She said with little to no emotion. I looked over at my childhood friend and damn near cried. No gay shit, but I really love Brandon. I shook my head as anger took over me. I never knew my father, but I hated him for all of this shit.
"Kill him, Katoria." One of the men demanded and she took a deep breath. I could tell she didn't want to do this, but they were forcing her. She didn't have a choice.
"I'm sorry." She mouthed to me as she rose a blade to my neck. She began to cut into my neck and immediately I started yelling in pain. Gunshots rang off making her jump and she dropped the blade. Two of the men had dropped and two others were shooting back, meanwhile I was loosing blood.
"Aaaah, shit!" One of the men dropped and held his chest. I breathed in and out as the last man was tackled after running out of bullets.
I closed my eyes as the pain continued.
"Daddy!" I heard Katoria cry out.
"Princess, go upstairs, go outside and get in the black truck, hurry up!" A deep voice yelled. I felt something being pressed against my neck and it made the pain almost completely numb.
I heard footsteps and then I felt my hands being untied. My eyes were still closed. I felt myself being pulled up and I then opened my eyes to look at Brandon. Rest easy man I said to myself. I then began to cough and it was hurting my chest.
"Hang in there, son."
