Today was the day of Prom and I was sharing a send off with Darren, Jarret, Dre, Xae, Marlo, 'Kiyia and Taylor. It was four hours before our send off and I was getting my makeup done with 'Kiyia and Taylor by someone named Swani. I found her on Instagram and she does good work.
"Look, I was gonna beat your face, but I don't think it'll look good. I want the best for my clients, and I suggest you get a natural look."
"Um, thank you. Is that gonna make the price change?"
"Yes, it'll be fifty dollars less. Oh, can I see your dress?" She asked and I nodded.
"I got it." 'Kiyia said getting up to go get it. She brought it back and Swani gasped looking at it.
"Girl, that looks so bomb. You definitely need a natural look now because you don't wanna take too much attention away from the dress."
"Now that you put it like that, I agree." I said and she nodded and got to work. About forty five minutes later she was done with me and was working on Taylor's face.
"Did she bring her dress and stuff here?" I asked 'Kiyia and she nodded.
"I think what y'all doing is cute." I said. 'Kiyia was wearing a custom maroon and black female suit and she was wearing her hair bone straight while Taylor was wearing a two piece maroon dress.
"Thank you girl, your dress too cute though. I know Darren gone like it."
"He better." I said and we laughed. My dress was mint green and white. The white was a laced around the dress and it was mermaid shaped.
My phone vibrated and it was a text from Darren.

yeah, where at? & ask if we changing clothes
It was a few minutes before he texted back.

I smiled and locked my phone back seeing that Swani was working on 'Kiyia now. Swani works fast as fuck.
"You should be a professional." I suggested and she laughed and nodded.
"Baby said that we going out to eat after prom at Charlie's, y'all comin'?" I asked 'Kiyia and Taylor. Tay shrugged.
"Yeah, I guess." 'Kiyia said getting out of the chair.
"Thank you so much, Swani." I said as she gathered her things. I took out the money from my purse and paid her and then she left.
"All that's left now is putting on the dress, and we got two hours so we good." I said.

"You better not be doing shit to my niece, tonight Darren." My dad told Darren. I chuckled at how annoyed he look.
"How many times you gone say that, big man? I'm not." He said. I know Darren ain't that type of dude, so I wasn't worried to be honest.
"Yeah, I know. Y'all clean up nice though. I'm proud of all y'all." He said looking us over. Darren had on a white suit with mint green cuffs, I had on a royal blue one with a white shirt and black tie, Marlo had on one that was black and red with roses all over it but it was fresh as fuck. Jarret had on a grey suit with royal blue cuffs, and Dre had on a black suit. Me and my niggas did look good.
"Thanks pops." Jarret said and my dad shook his head at him and took a hit from his blunt before he left the front room. Our send off started in about ten minutes, so people should be here momentarily.
"Bro, Monique better not act crazy when she come over here." Dre said out loud. Monique was his on and off again girlfriend and the broad just fucking crazy.
"She ain't because Katoria, Ja'Kiyia, and Taylor ain't going for that shit." Darren said and we all laughed knowing it was true.
"They so bad together, I don't understand why they gay." I said thinking about 'Kiyia and Taylor.
"Man, females just trying anything these days." Dre said shaking his head.
"I'm the reason 'Kiyia hates niggas." Jarret said sighing and shaking his head. We all looked at him in confusion.
"What nigga?" Dre asked.

"Shit man, remember I used to go to that after school program in middle school? Well, she went to and long story short me and the niggas there used to pick on her all the time because she ain't have no friends and one time I slapped her and spit in her face on the playground and them niggas was followers so they all did it to and after that she always been trying her best to avoid boys."
"Bro, you need ya' ass whooped, real shit." Marlo said getting pissed and I nodded. He had every right to be. That is his friend.
"I know, man. I don't know what the fuck I did all that for, and I didn't expect for them to do the same shit."
"She never told me that when I ask her why she like girls, but now I know and you need not to speak to me for a while, real shit." Marlo said getting off the couch and going to the back.
"Yo, you really mad at me? That shit happened years ago and I didn't know better, what the fuck?"
"And nigga?" He asked over his shoulder and left.
"Damn, you ever apologize?" Xae asked.
"Yea, like the week after it happened, but everytime I tried to talk to her, she'd ignore me and walk away so I just stopped tryin'."
"Ay, people pullin' up outside." Dre said. We all got up and went to find our shoes and watches and anything else we were wearing tonight.
Truth is, I used to like Ja'Kiyia.

Once me, 'Kiyia, and Taylor finally got ready, we took my car to Xae's house for the send off. I was nervous for some reason as I pulled up. Something was off and I could feel it.
We got out and there were already people taking pictures of people. Most of the people looked like people I go to school with, I'm guess they were underclassmen.
"Katoria, you look so gorgeous." Some girl said and I smiled at her and thanked her. Darren's fine ass came up to me and pecked my lips. He was looking and smelling so good.
"Boy, I know this ain't you." An older man said walking up to us. Darren and Dre laughed.
"Chill, Unc. This my girl, Katoria. Katoria, this my uncle B." He said and I smiled at him.
"Nice to meet you."
"Alright y'all, look this way." Xae's mom said. We took what felt like a thousand pictures and then we were off to prom.
