Ren rubbed a tired eye as she yawned making a cute squeak sound like that of a baby dinosaur as she stretched up from within Mikey's arms. It was Sunday and neither had school. Mikey had decided to stay the night, sleeping in her absent fathers bed after putting Ren to sleep. It wasn't like her father was using it anyways. Ren took bedtime as a challenge once he left to start planning and analyzing stuff to make her healer-type cursed corpse. She'd have to learn more about stitching and sewing in the future or get a book to at least get the basics but for now she had done a rough sketch of what she wanted for her healer. Katsuki had managed to get her to bed after that, sitting on her until she gave up trying to escape her bed. Now it was the next day and Ren was still a bit tired from her long night of planning. She rough sketched some other ideas as well in the morning, and if she had more time she would keep the ideas coming while the iron was hot, but Mikey had barged into her room early which scared her since he was not a morning person."Goood morrrning Ren-chin! I'm taking you out for breakfast! Get ready!" He screeched as she tried not to fall out of the bed, her sketch book haphazardly set on the bedside table. Katsuki made him run with his persuasive barking and nipping teeth while she quickly changed clothes and did her morning routine in the bathroom, she was now wearing a light blue shirt with a Gabumon on it, white shorts, and socks.
It was a miracle that Mikey let her get her running shoes on before she was plucked up and put on his shoulders, "Come on Ren-chin~ I'm hungry~"
It was time for Ren to express herself in the only way her noodle brain could at the moment, "Hi Hungry, I'm Ren..." Mikey jolted in metaphorical and perhaps physical pain from hearing those words come out of her tiny yapper.
He pulled her from his shoulders and held her out at arms length like a cat parent does to their disobedient feline, as he stared into her sleepy eyes with his own very seriously as he spoke, "Ren-chin, please don't do that again— I will cry."
And, being sleep deprived and not a morning person, Ren replied with a witty, "Cry then."
Causing Mikey to become exasperated but also a little irritated— god he hoped he wasn't as sassy as a child as his newest little sister was, "Ren-chin~" he whined as he rubbed his forehead against her own childishly in retaliation causing her to whine in discomfort "That's not how you talk to nii-chan~" he scolded as he continued to annoy her with rough forehead bumps. "Your going to make me sad~" later if he asked, everyone would say that he was 100% exactly as sassy as Ren but unlike Ren who had remorse and was kind—Mikey was just a little shit.
"Sorry Jiro-niichan...I'm just tired..." she mumbled half heartedly in apology as she leaned forward and proceeded to stuff her face back into his neck and tried to get a couple more minutes of peace.
Mikey held her with one arm and with the other he prodded her tiny back with his finger, "Oy! Ren-chin don't go back to sleep!" He scolded with a quiet grumble which would have been a comical sight if any of his friends could see him now. He wasn't even this brotherly with his own blood sister! Ren just seemed small to him, too small and alone which made him worry for her since she seemed like she couldn't even hurt a fly.
Walking into a restaurant that served western-style food he was quickly seated with his mini-koala still sleepily clung to him. "Oy Ren-chin time to wake up~ We are at the restaurant you wanted to go to~!" He prodded her again causing her to growl cutely at the intrusion on her sleep. Ren might have been an adult woman in her past life but she was an absolute bear to wake up even then, which seemed to have carried over into this life as well.
One eye slowly popped open to reveal a tired and grumpy teal eye, sitting up she moved to be across from the older blonde while rubbing at her other eye with a tiny paw to get rid of the sleepiness in them. A drawn out yawn escaping cutely as she sat and looked at her kids menu. "What do you want Ren-chin? I called Ken-chin over so he'll join soon and pay~" Ren sweat dropped as she finally checked into the conversation, now finally awake enough to listen.
