S1E10 - THE WHITE VIOLIN

THE HARGREEVES SIBLINGS darted up the stairs and onto the landing inside the Icarus Theater. Angel followed Klaus and Diego as they started toward the auditorium, stopping when noticing Luther and Allison stopped.

"Allison, I can't let you do that," Luther shook his head, "All right? She's beyond reasoning."

Allison shoved him away.

"You hear the music?" Diego questioned, "It started."

Luther ignored his brother, "Do you honestly think she's gonna listen? After everything that's happened?"

"We don't have time for this," Klaus reminded.

"Okay," Luther said.

The three boys watched as Allison pulled on Angel's hand and made their way into the auditorium. Allison and Angel walked down the aisle, watching in awe as their sister strummed away on a violin. It was a beautiful sound and she would've enjoyed it more if she wasn't panting for breath. Allison and Angel watched Vanya focus on her instrument. The other violinists went quiet, as Vanya continued playing on. Vanya glanced over at the two. They smiled at her with pride on their faces, earning a happy smile back.

Out of the corner of her eye, Angel saw Luther and Diego charge at Vanya from across the stage. Vanya noticed and stood, waving her bow across the stage, sending a white streak, knocking both of the men off the stage and earning screams from the crowd. Allison and Angel glanced at each other in fear. The violinists stood, ready to leave after witnessing what they'd just seen, but Vanya waved her bow again and sent another streak. The violinists all sat down and continued playing. Vanya stood at the center of the stage, still playing her violin. Allison pulled Angel back to the rows of chairs and ducked behind some, across from Luther and Diego. A white streak flew through the air above. Allison threw a forgotten purse at them in anger.

"Yeah, we're fine, thanks for asking," Luther rolled his eyes.

Allison gave him a look telling him she didn't like what he pulled.

"Look, I almost lost you once, all right? I wasn't about to lose you again," Luther shook his head.

Angel peeked up from the chairs, watching Vanya strum away on her violin.

"All right, well, so much for the element of surprise," Diego interrupted, "What else you got?"

Allison banged on the seat, when she got the boys' attention she moved her hands like she was playing the violin.

"No shit, Allison. Tell us something we don't already know," Diego deadpanned.

Allison turned to her sister, who gulped down a load of saliva.

"The- the violin." Angel paused, attempting to catch her breath, "Lightning rod."

Luther's face dropped as they all leaned around and over the seats to look at Vanya. She was glowing white, her suit now white, her violin now white. It was without a doubt, not the strangest thing they had seen.

"If we can take it from her and stop her from playing," they all leaned back to cover, "we might have a shot."

Gunshots interrupted what Angel was going to say. She ducked behind Allison with a grunt. Screams from the orchestra bounced across the auditorium. Vanya was still focused on her music, though.

"What the hell happened to Klaus? He's supposed to be the lookout," Diego grunted.

Angel shoved her way from behind Allison and into the aisle, quickly ducking behind another row of chairs. A blue wisp of light appeared in the aisle as Five appeared. Five glanced at Angel. In that split second, they both shared a thought. They were glad each other was okay. Angel was glad Five made it back in time, but mad that he had abandoned them. Five was just glad that she hadn't gotten shot or killed by yet another one of the armies that were after him. Five looked over his siblings with an annoyed look.
