S1E10 - THE WHITE VIOLIN
FIVE AND ANGEL blinked into the bowling alley after their siblings arrived. They stopped at a gas station to get gauze for Angel's leg. Angel sat on the bathroom sink in a dingy bathroom with Five standing and helping her out. Five ripped the gauze apart and glanced up at her with a worried look. He pulled her skirt up and blinked before watching his hands, blurring his peripheral vision so he wouldn't see anything. He paused and stared down at her scared skin. Shiny light pink scars peppered the skin on her thighs. An array of healed and healing scars stretched out, telling stories that she's had for years.
"Five," she whispered, "Y-you're making me feel like I-I'm in a p-porno."
Five flushed and began to work on her leg, making a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. "Sorry," he mumbled.
"A-are you ok-okay?" She cocked an eyebrow, watching Five's hands work.
Five glanced up at her, "Why wouldn't I be?"
Angel shrugged, "I j-just thought maybe you were hurt."
Five shook his head and didn't bother to use words.
"Five,"
"Yes, princess?"
Angel flushed, "D-don't c-call me that."
Five smirked up at her, "Or what?"
Angel furrowed her eyebrows and winced.
"Sorry, princess,"
She groaned and rolled her eyes down at him. "I'm sorry, Five."
"For what?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow up at her.
"For ev-everything when we were younger,"
He scoffed, "Why are you apologizing for shit I did?"
He placed a piece of gauze on her thigh, holding it there with one hand while reaching for tape with the other.
"Be-because it wasn't j-just you," she shook her head and leaned back on her hands.
Five blushed a little and glanced up at her before clearing his throat.
"I mean, you cause-caused some of it, but I always argued back. You've been good to me lately, and all I've ever d-done was treat you like shit," Angel frowned as she stared at the ceiling.
"Well," Five sighed, taping the last corner of the gauze down, "For what it's worth. You weren't the only one. I treated you like shit, too. Even when all you did was look the other way. You tried to be the bigger person and I pushed you down." Five threw away the wrappers and leaned against the wall, putting his hands in his pockets.
Angel and Five locked eyes. They sat in silence, thinking to themselves about the past week. Five sighed and pushed off the wall. He placed his hands on the counter beside Angel's hips and leaned close.
"Five?" She blinked, swallowing a lump in her throat.
"Angel?" He copied.
"Wh-what are you d-doing?" She whispered.
"What do you think I'm doing?" He cocked an eyebrow.
Angel sat up straight, but Five didn't budge. He rested his chin on her chest now. She felt his hand trail up the side of her thigh and land on her skirt.
"Five-"
He pulled her skirt down and pulled back, cocking an eyebrow. "Do I make you nervous, princess?"
