S1E5 - NUMBER FIVE
ALLISON WOKE ANGEL up the next morning claiming that there was something she had to see. Luther was already crowding around Grace when Allison and Angel arrived. Luther glanced back, before sighing and turning back around. Grace sat lifeless in a chair, her arm propped up on her leg as she held a cross-stitch that was partially sewn to her hand. A flap of her flesh peeled back, revealing wires and motherboards. Someone had shut Grace down.
"The two guys last night, the ones with the masks," Allison shook her head, "they did this to her. It has to do with Five somehow. I mean, they were looking for him."
Allison turned and leaned against the rail. Angel blinked and sat next to Luther. She was decently close with her mom; she was the only person to talk to when no one else bothered to care. Seeing her like this, in a lifeless state, made her feel sad. She couldn't imagine how Diego felt.
"I know I was arguing to turn Grace off, but it doesn't make seeing her like this any easier," Luther mumbled not looking away from the robot.
"Poor Diego," Allison sighed, "I mean, this is gonna be so hard on him."
"Yeah, it's hard on all of us," Luther stood and moved next to Allison.
"Luther..." Allison started, pausing before turning to Angel, "Can you give us a second? I really wanna talk to Luther alone."
Angel nodded and stood, caressing Grace's cheek before heading downstairs to the cellar to get some food in her stomach.

ANGEL NEEDED A little downtime from all the fighting and straining of her body. Her stomach still throbbed like a bitch, but now she could hardly notice it. She was walking better, and her new stitches were holding up pretty nicely. As it turns out, Allison was quite the medic. After eating breakfast, Angel immediately headed toward Klaus' room. They hadn't spoken in a while, and all she really wanted to do instead of relaxing was to talk to him and tell him about everything because if there were one person to ever understand her, it would be Klaus.
Angel moved down the hall at a steady pace, memorizing the familiar turns she needed to take to get to Klaus' room. She paused when she saw bloody footprints at the end of the hall. She untucked her hands from her pockets and readied herself to fight if she needed. Or maybe Klaus needed help? She quickly started toward the footprints, checking right, seeing a bloodied bathtub. Klaus spoke from the left and she went straight there. She pushed open the slightly cracked door and paused with a confused look. Five and Klaus glanced back at her and watched as she rushed to crouch next to him, checking him for any injuries. She looked up with scrunched brows.
"Long night," Klaus mumbled, rubbing his hands across his face.
Five shook his head, "Anyways, I can recognize the symptoms, Klaus."
"The symptoms of what?" Klaus mumbled, obviously annoyed with the boy.
Five chewed his bottom lip with a scoff, "The jet lag, the full body itch, the headache that feels like someone shoved a box of cotton up into your nose and through your brain,"
Klaus looked up at him with bags underneath his eyes. Angel could tell Klaus was beyond tired and wanted to get some much-needed sleep, but Five wouldn't take a hint, like always.
"You gonna tell me about it?" Five raised his eyebrows.
Angel stood and glanced between Five and Klaus, wondering what the hell they were talking about. She had been so out of the loop since she got shot, and this was the first time in two days since she had seen Five. Yesterday, while Luther and Diego went out looking for him, Angel was ordered - by Grace and Allison - to take a day off and relax, and even though she enjoyed it, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being lazy and unuseful.
