It been two days Jayden talked about rejecting me and i was still crying.I didn't leave my room.Victora has been nice enough to help me bring in my food.
Jayden didn't even come to check up on me.!So much for being mates.He confirmed the rejection by not showing up.sigh
I got up to go to the infirmary.Victora told me that morning that James and Julie are awake.James woke up in the middle of the night while Julie followed in the morning.
I have been putting myself together for the past three hours but it's hard.
I will be facing Jayden again after two days.I want to show him I'm strong without him.Larah didn't like the idea but I couldn't careless.What's with my mate always defending Jayden?,is she too daft to comprehend that we were rejected?.
I open the door and and headed for the infirmary.
"You shouldn't have taken that arrow for me."I heard James says as I get nearer to Julie's ward.
"And let my best friend get kill—hi there Hel come in." Julie waved at me and I walked into her ward.I smiled and walk in further into the room.
"Hi Julie,hi james,hi Jayden." I greeted the three of them at once and sit at the edge of Julie's bed.Jayden didn't say a word just nodded.
"How are you Helena..come here I missed you so much." She says squeezing the life out of me.I chuckled.
"I missed you too and I should be the one asking you that question.How are you feeling now.?"I asked her as she releases me.
"Oh-oh so you don't miss me Helena?,what if I had died out there" James complained with a pout.I laughed and move to his side and hug him.Jayden cleared his throat but I didn't acknowledge him..I tighten the hug.
"I miss you James,what's fortress without you.?"
"Okay,I miss you too." He was grinning like a baby which makes us earn another cough from Jayden.And again I ignored him.
"So what the hell happen to you two?."I asked them both.
"After we left the fortress-as you like to call it,we went straight to look for the herbs and on our way back we were attacked by the hunters.."I gasped.Hunters are human who knows about us and sees us as a bad creature which needs to be put down.Anytime we come across each other it's always been war. "...Luckily-I thought they were just two in number so I was sure it will be easy to take them out until we were circled by six of them.We fought but theirs weapon is all laced with wolvesbane.Anyways we are safe now aren't we.?"Julie relaid.
"So what's the taking arrow for james all about.?"
James answered this time. "She was shielding me from all the arrows those hunters were shooting by letting herself get attacked..we fought there.I should be the one protecting her not the other way round." He shook his head.
"One of us had to stay alive to bring the herbs back here and I figured James is more valuable."Julie shrugged.
"So you are willing to die just to save that mate of yours ?."Jayden who have been quiet since finally spoke but was hell ignored.I almost laugh.
"So Helena how's training?."Julie ignored his brother and I figured they haven't resolved the issue they had before Julie left.
"How's Julie's mate doing?,I bet she'd been meaning to ask but is shy." James teased and Julie blushed.We hear a hiss from Jayden before he stormed out.
"How have you been dealing with his attitude all this years.?" I asked both Julie and James.
"Well he wasn't an asshole all this years I wonder what changed.Anyways have you people gotten any thing from the beta?."Julie asked and I nodded.I explained to them all that Damion told us .
"...he said I should let him know when you are awake."I smiled as she blush.
"I don't know what to do Hel,I'm torn between rejecting him and accepting him,I don't want to do anything I will regret later on."Julie ranted and before I can think of a reply James is already giving her solution.
"Get to know him Julie,you just heard all Helena said..he may or may not be a bad person but give him the benefit of the doubt and get to know him." James is a sweetheart,I hope the moon goddess can just give him another chance of mate.he will make a good mate.
"What If he wants to go back to that shitty pack,what if he doesn't like me what if-"
"I'll be back." I hurried out before Julie stops me.I hurried down the wards until I stopped at Damion's.I push open the door. I saw a wheel chair beside his bed.
"Can you walk or you will need the wheelchair?"
"Good afternoon to you too and where are we going.?" He greeted sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.
"Just trust me." I couldn't tell him and have him chicken out.
"I guess I will be needing the wheelchair,and I can use some fresh air."He said smiling and I helped him into the chair.

"Well if you are as strong as you claim,you won't lie in your ward for days unconsciously."I heard Julie's voice and Damion grip my hand but I didn't even look down at his face. I continue wheeling him.
"I don't want my best friend alone in th- oh" James stop whatever he was going to say when he saw us and Julie sat up too quickly for her to hurt her side.
"Oh"she whined.
"Are you okay?" We all asked as I wheeled Damion close to her bed.
"I-I I am" She stutter and glare at me which I return with a smile.
"James let's get out of here.We don't want to be a burden" I drag James out and pull him towards his ward.
"Do you realize that I'm just getting better?,and just so you know Jayden will kill you if he find out what you did."
"Everyone won't be like him when it comes to being mate.I can bet those two will be the best couple ever."
"Huh-huh"
"Let's go have you relaxed." I pulled him to his ward.
