JAYDEN's POV

"The beta will die in two days."

"What!!!!".Julie,James and Helena shouted.

"N.n.noo no no we can't let that happen we have to save him." Julie starts panicking.

"The only way we can save him is if we get the antidote." The doctor explained.

"What antidote.?" Helena asked.

"So,it happens that we found poison in his bloodstream..." Both Helena and Julie eyes widen but didn't interrupt. "...There is a suppressant they do take and the moment they stop taking it,the poison start to kill them slowly.But if we can make an antidote which will kill the poison permanently he will not be needing the suppressant nor will he die.".The doctor explains as tears start dropping from Julie and Helena's eyes.

"Why will he take poison?,just why.?".Helena was talking to herself.

"I don't think anybody in his right sense will take that poison willingly.And I have seen a case like this like this when I was still under training in the human world.

The poison is given to people without their knowledge so as to have their loyalty.If they betray the group then they will be deprived the suppressant.I think this is what all this is about." How can you gamble with someone's life in order to have their loyalty?,this Alpha is sick in the head.

"You should be making the antidote right now,every second counts."Julie said eyeing the doctor.

"I don't see a reason why we should save this beta,they've done a lot of damage to us and moreover we don't have the ingredients." The doctor shrugged.

"Because he's my fucking mate!,Go look for the ingredients now!!!" the doctor looks shocked at Julie's outburst.

"Julie,nobody wants to risk their life and go to the heart of the forest to look for some leaves for a guy who is from a pack that terrorizes us,we can't risk it."I explained slowly.

"You guy's know what?,I will go into that forest and bring those things you will need to make the antidote.you will make it perfectly and Damion is going to take it and live,so now explain the type of things I have to look for.!" This mate thing is driving me nuts.

"There's no way I'm letting you go and risk your life for someone not worth it.!" I yelled at her.

"Well guess what,I'm going and there is nothing you can do about it!,this guy is my mate and I'm not letting any of you stop me!" She yelled back.

"It's too dangerous for you Julie,you are a lycan ,which makes you a huge prey for any wolf and you were still deliberating on rejecting him.I don't think it's right for you to go get your self killed." Helena told her but Julie pushed Helena hands away from her shoulders and stands up to face her.

"I thought you were his friend,so you are just going to watch him die?,and I have never take rejecting him into consideration nor have I ever thought about accepting him,but I'm not going to watch him die."

"Julie,I will go and get the leaves that is needed just stay here and be calm."James said.

"How can you say something like that James,I'm not ready to loose any of you and as for you Julie,get the idea of going anywhere out of your system!" I yelled.

"You don't own me and you can't tell me what to do!!" she told me and faces james "..I'm not letting you go alone,it's either we go together or I go alone."

"I said you are not going!" I hate it when she defiles my order.She's a very hard nut to crack when angry.

"Okay brother let's assume it's your mate that's on that sick bed will you let her die.."she said pointing to Helena and I don't think I want to answer that question. "...well if you choose to watch her die I won't be surprised because that's what you did when mom and dad were killed too." I froze .what!,she still blames me for the death of parent?.Everyone's eyes was on me wide open,even Helena too have this surprise look on her face.

"You can do whatever you like then.!" I said and stormed out before anybody can say anything.I don't have to defend myself,I don't want their pity.

I went to my room to cool off,I was so angry that I could almost feel the heat.

I took off all my cloth and lie down on my bed.How can she still blame me for our parent's death?,in the presence of outsiders?,no,that's not a way to do it.Its not even my fault that they died,if I went there I would probably be killed too,I was too young to know what to do then.huff.

I have been secretly looking for this pack that came and wipe out ours and it has not been very productive because the only thing I have as evidence is not really relevant.Just an handkerchief with embroidery,why will a wolf own handkerchief in the first place.?

The fact that James too was also supporting her is just too crazy and her trying to give up her life for some irrelevant guy,Okay the guy is relevant but he's a bad person,they've killed a lot of people.what in heart is her stress?.

I tried readjusting my pillow and find a or note under it.

That's one thing you will never hear because you are just some low life rogue.I could have get you killed since all this while that you normally sleeps like a dead man.

I have my eyes on you and your sister especially,if you don't mind your business you are going to loose your so called Julie.

There is definitely a traitor among us,.Julie is in danger I have to go look for her right away.

I put on shorts and ran out shirtless,I ran to her room and met Helena reading some books.She looked startled when she saw me and mouth wide open.

"Where is she?"

"Who.?" She replied.

"Is there another person staying in this room except from you and Julie?" I snapped.

"She's no longer here." She whispered that I almost missed it.

"What!" I yelled which makes Helena flinched.

""She's gone to look for the herbs with James and will you stop yelling ?!!.She yell back and I sighed.

"You really need to come with me now,it's really dangerous leaving you here.There is a traitor in our midst and I don't want to imagine what he will do when he finds out we are mate."I told her nonchalantly as she just nod follow me out.

"Do you have any idea who this person is?"

I didn't even reply.I turn around and shut the door before I started marching to the infirmary.I just hope Julie is still there.
