She didn't need to look up to know who she ran into, she could tell just by the feel of his arm when they wrapped around her to keep her from falling. It was the colonel, with a 'damn princess slow down' that seemed to fade away at the end, along with his signature smirk. He watched as a lone tear fell down her cheek leaving a wet path in its wake. He moved his hand, unbearably slow so he wouldn't frighten her, touching her cheek like one would a snowflake. She tensed slightly at the contact, relaxing into the comfort of Miles's touch.

She could have stayed there forever if it hadn't been for her husband calling her name from behind the corner that she just turned, bringing her back to her horrible reality of betrayal and heartache. He called her name again when he didn't see her but stopped when he rounded the corner and saw her in the colonels arms, that's when Miles whispered in his gruff voice "Its your husband you ain't gotta look at him, just give me the word and I'll take you away."

There was a slight pause, then a small nod and just like that they were turned in the direction of his office. They walked away, with Yn tucked into Miles's side, a tight grip on her arm, as if to calm himself down rather than her. They ignored the calls from Jake and Grace. There was still a maze of hallways in front of them to get to the office and there were soldiers who stopped to look on in confusion as their 'Colonel Hard Ass' held a woman, a crying one at that, in such a fragile manner. In a way someone gets when they are lifting a sheet of ice and trying not to break it. Their posture straightened instantaneously with the glare that he shot in their direction.

They finally make it to his office so she can sit down in peace, to not be bothered by her husband until she is good and ready. Yn started to slump in the chair when she hears another chair be moved on the other side of the office. She looks up at him with eyes of embarrassment, for the scene she caused in the hallway or for destroying his perfect hard ass image or maybe it was for the stains that her tears left on his shirt. It was definitely all of them. But the look he gave her in return was a look she had never thought that she would see on his face. Soft enough to calm a mountain banshee, and then he smiled. It wasnt an I told you so kind of smile either, it was one of genuine care, one might dare say that it was love hed shown in his eyes for her. "I'm here when you're ready." His voice softened when he spoke to her. She nodded and looked away, staying silent, so Miles decided to do some work while she was in her own little world.
