Please! P-Please! I'm sorry Ko... I'm sorry Kaori..." Bakugo begged, caressing her face as tears fell down his cheeks.
" Dad now!" I yelled and both he and my mother, followed by my aunt and grandmother ran into the Lab. My Aunt stood in front of me, Bakugo, Shen, and Sol.
" Akira, my wife. You've come back." Kenta said, making the hairs on my arms raise. Looking over my shoulder my grandmother was levitating in a purple and black bubble, there behind her was Kenji and Nana, and in front of her was Akira in a hero costume.
" Ex-Wife." Akira snapped.
" I can't feel her..." Bakugo whispered.
" Fuck!" I exclaimed then put my hands on her chest forcing her blood to keep flowing.
" I can help Nix." Sol said.
"You don't get to abandon one kid then come back to take your pick of the litter to try and play good dad!" I screamed, my tears threatening to fall as I focused on keeping her body alive.
"Now that's not fair Nixie! I've made mistakes but I'm here now, that has to count for something!" Sol said, trying to shove me out of the way.
"Shut up Sol! This isn't about you! This is about her, this about what you've done to her! And you know what, even with you hunting her, she's done a great fucking job! She's top of her class, She's on the cheerleading team, She's excelling at every challenge that has been thrown at her, She has been fighting for her life, fighting her father! And she did it all by herself! She did all of that before you showed up!" I sobbed, I knew I was projecting my loss of our son onto what was happening with Kaori, but she was the closest thing that I had to a daughter.
"I know that Nixie, but I'm here now, and all I want to do is help. I'm just trying to help." He said and I felt memories threatening to flood my brain, I was struggling to hold them back as he confronted me over and over again about trying to save her bullshit.
" Where were you when I needed help?!" I screamed, finally telling him how I felt after all these years.
" Maybe I might not ever be able to make things right with you, but at least give me a chance to make things right with her." He said, sounding like a poor excuse of a hero.
"Both of you shut up! Fucking Save her!" Bakugo yelled at the two of us, I felt my heart divided in two eventually I sat back and watched as his eyes glowed yellow, then put his left hand on her upper left chest, then his right hand on her lower right side, like he was a defibrillator, watching him send and electric shock into her body, it jolting at it. I felt my heart sink as he had to do it a second time.
" Fight Kaori! Come back to us!" I begged.
" Akira, I treated you so well. Why do this to me, my wife?" He asked and I spun around seeing Akira and Kenta in hand to hand combat.
" WHY?! YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO ASK ME THIS?!" She yelled at him as she landed a solid gut punch, there I saw Kenji sitting on the ground beside Kaori's body.
" Popcorn?" He asked making Bakugo, Sol, and Shen jump.
" Bakugo!" Kaori cries out in a raspy voice and holds him as tight as he is gripping onto her.
" Kaori, your ok Teddy Bear, your home and I'm never letting you leave again" Bakugo said, forgetting Kenji was there as he held her close.
" And she's back! Watch the show." Kenji said pointing at their parents.
