The winter formal...

She didn't want to go, it wasn't that she didn't like dancing, or dressing up, or even the social aspect, it was the fact that Pierson would harass her relentlessly the second she showed up. She didn't have a date, but she didn't care to much about that due to the slight crush she developed on the quarter back Tim, even if she knew she never stood a chance against the blonde bombshell that was his exes, Ashley and Isabel. Isabel Lucy liked, she seemed nice despite her status as head cheerleader, and from what she heard from Genny Bradford, Isabel didn't have the best home life, Ashley however his most recent ex, was Pierson's cousin, and she was by far the meanest person she's ever met other then Pierson himself. Though when Jackson begged her to go with him, she didn't refuse.

Tim hated dances, parties, and any other kind of social event, he didn't like people at all. He found it dumb to go to these dances anyway, but being single he had absolutely no idea why Genny was begging him to go with her. "Do you have a date or something?" He asked his sister, who anxiously played with the bottom of her blue laced ballgown. "If I say yes, you won't tell dad or mom right?" She asked, the nervousness was clear in her tone. Maybe he lied when he said, he didn't know why she suddenly had an interest in this, he knew exactly why his introverted sister was out every night, their father started hitting her too, she hid the evidence behind her makeup, but it was very clear to him. "Genny, I'm not going to tell them anything. If you're dating someone I'm happy for you." He told his younger sister, and she smiled a bit. "Thank you Tim."

She dressed in an emerald green ballgown that her father had helped her pick out when she told dad about the dance. Her hair had been down curled and styled, she actually felt good about herself for once, maybe it wouldn't be too bad. She rode along with Jackson, as well as his boyfriend Issac. "So Lucy, is there any special person you're crushing on?" Issac asked, seemingly just as excited as Jackson. She shook her head a bit, Pierson Macgrady was the only guy who gave her attention, and it wasn't the type she wanted when half the time it included either making some disgusting joke about her culture or body, or he was humiliating her for laughs. "No not really." She responded, as she began fidgeting with her hands nervously. "I keep telling Lucy that she'll find someone, I mean she looks stunning, I'm sure they'll be plenty of single guys who'll want to dance with you." Jackson told her, and Lucy smiled and nodded, but in reality she highly doubted that.

He'd been attending a dance single for one of the first time's which couldn't help but make him wonder if a certain friend of Genny's would be there. Lucy Chen, he absolutely couldn't stand her, he couldn't stand how she was undoubtedly the most beautiful girl he's ever laid on, couldn't stand how absolutely perfect she was. She was somehow smart, beautiful, and kind at the same time, he hated it. In the perfect world he'd just admit he had feeling for this girl, but it wasn't perfect, and he hated that he had feeling for her, it's not like he could ever be with her, she's perfect, and he's a mess. A complete, utter mess, and he hated himself significantly more then he hated her, hated his feeling for her, so for the past year he ignored her anytime she was hangout with Genny, brushed off her attempt of conversation, he was horrible and he knew that. However as soon as he walked into that ballroom his eyes fell onto her as soon as  he stepped in with Genny. "Is that Lucy?" He asked, while looking at the younger girl who stood next to Issac Whitlock and Jackson West, he knew the two boys as well, they both played football with him, but he could care less about the boys, she was all he could see. Damn it, how hadn't he noticed her like this before?
