Chapter 5: Attacked

Mackenzie Rosita Prime POV

I was out on the street when a man ran at me. I widened my eyes. Suddenly a black GMC truck hit him killing him. I sighed. Ironhide then transformed. "What the hell is going on in here?" He asked. 

"I don't know."

I ran to the front and met Morgan. "Hey-" We stopped when we saw a guy with an axe. "Quick... or slow?" He asked us. "Leave." Morgan said. "Please."

"Gonna be slow."

A guy charged at us and suddenly someone stabbed the man. I saw it was Sunstreaker. The man dropped. 

"You okay, kid?" He asked me. I nodded. 

Me and Sunstreaker ran towards the armory. Two people ran at us when Ironhide slammed into them. He missed three more and we got into the armory. 

One tackled me and stabbed my back. I then shot her with a gun and shot another guy. I then winced. I dropped and Held my back. "Kenzie!" Sunstreaker shot the woman in the head. 

I held my back and Sunstreaker then turned. He sighed. He ripped his shirt off. He put his shirt on my back where I was stabbed. 

"The town was overrun. He split off with Nicholas and Glenn. He had this idea that... if he lit a fire, it would stop the walkers from coming here. I tried to go instead. I wanted to. The fire never got lit. We had to keep going. I'm sorry. He said if he got stuck, he would send some sort of signal." Michonne told me, Maggie, and mom. I nodded. 

I then heard something. "OPEN THE GATE!"

I ran over and opened the gate. I saw it was Rick who yelled that. The whole hoard was behind him. Once he got inside we shut the gates both of them. 

I was in the armory loading a clip for my gun my father gave me. I sighed. I saw Aaron. 

"I'm going to find my father and you can't stop me." I stated. Aaron turned to me. "I can't let you do this and I can't stop you. But I didn't say I wasn't going to help you."

I grabbed the stuff and followed Aaron. 

"I thought you said we weren't going over." I said. "We're not. We're going under. This leads to a sewer that was here before they build this up." Aaron told me. "It'll take us under the wall... and out on the other side hopefully past the walkers." 

"Thanks... but I'm going to go on my own from here." I said. "Kenzie..."

"No."

"Please." I sighed.

We walked down the sewers and I walked through them. Me and Aaron continued down the tunnel. We saw a part of it and some walkers were in it.  

We tried to pull the ladder and it hit Aaron over his head. "AARON!" I cried. "Ah..."

He touched his head. "I'm okay. The ladder caught me. We saw a walker. I stabbed it in the head. 

I saw another one. I stabbed the walker through its body. I then stabbed it through the neck. We saw a place and a cage like door. Aaron tried to open it. I told him no. 

"NO!"

Walkers hit the thing. We backed up. I started crying. "I burned my last picture of him because I told him I wasn't gonna need it anymore. That me and him weren't gonna be away from each other anymore. I'm pregnant." Aaron turned to me. 

"In order for him to imprint on me fully, he had to have sex with me. He didn't want me to go out there and I said yes. And if I would've gone... if I was with him, maybe I could've helped him. I don't know if he's alive. He would've shown me by now. That's what Michonne said. I just want to see his face. I can't. I don't get to know what will happen. I won't get to know why it happened, what I did right or wrong. Now now. I have to live with that. You do, too. I just want him back." I sobbed and Aaron hugged me tightly. 

I sobbed on his shoulder. 

I was standing on the ledge looking for any sign that Optimus would send. I saw Rick. I smiled. "You don't have to be up here so much." He told me. "I won't be. This is the direction he'd come in. If he sends a signal, it'll be from out there." I said. "Yeah. Or it-- Or it won't be." I sighed. 

"When we go out there, it's never easy, it's never simple. It's always a fight. Predaking did say he saw his truck driving off with Glenn. They could be anywhere." I nodded. 

"I saw Judith in the house the other day. She's starting to-- She's starting to look like Lori." I said. Rick smiled. "Yeah."

"Made me happy." I said. "Me, too." I smiled. 

Rick walked down and I smiled. 

I turned and widened my eyes. "Shit! IRONHIDE! HAVE ROSITA AND MAGGIE FIRE THEIR GUNS OUT FROM THEIR POSTS!" I yelled. 

"WHY-"

"JUST DO IT!"

"KENZIE-"

"JUST DO IT!" I hung onto the side of the wall and fired at some the walkers that were the closest to Spence. Once Rick pulled Spencer up, Michonne held out her hand and I climbed on. 

She sighed. "KENZIE! YOU ALMOST DIED ONCE FOR THESE PEOPLE!" Rick yelled. "What?"

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" He yelled at me. I flicked him of. 

I then looked up as I heard a loud shot. I saw a rocket shoot up in the air and it exploded. I then ran down the ladder. "RICK! IT'S OPTIMUS! IT'S OPTIMUS!"

Suddenly there was cracking and the watchtower outside of the gates fell down. Right. On. The. Gates.
