Chapter 11: Working for someone

Mackenzie Rosita Prime POV

I was crying and I felt rage on Dad's side of the bond. "What? Was the joke that bad?" Negan asked. "I'm gonna kill you." Rick growled. 

Negan walked over to him. "What?"

"He... He didn't say anything." I cried. 

"Megatron."

Someone punched me and I got knocked out. 

I woke up and I was in a bed. I turned and saw Ratchet and Ironhide were whispering to each other. 

"Ironhide?" Him and Ratchet turned. "Kenzie."

Both of them rushed over. "Hey, Kenzie. How do you feel?" 'Hide asked. "Fine. Is... Is the baby okay?"

"Kenzie... You were too upset. You had a miscarriage." I started crying and Ironhide hugged me. 

Mom then walked in. "Come on. Me and you are going on a run." I nodded. 

We got out there to see Negan was inside. Spencer opened the first gate. "Well?"

"Um, who are you?" Spencer asked. "Oh, you better be jokin'. Negan, Lucille. I know I had to make a pretty strong first impression." 

Rick then walked up. "Well, hello there." Rick glared at Negan. "Do not make me have to ask." He snapped. 

"You said a week. You're early." Rick pointed out. "I missed you."

Negan took out a walker. I stood beside mom. 

Rick tried to speak to Daryl and Negan denied him and he turned to me. "Same goes for everyone... Right?" 

I felt uncomfortable. He got too close and I glared at him. 

I then walked over to Mom. "All right, Everybody. Let's get this show on the road."

"You heard the man. Move out!" A woman yelled. 

Me and Mom moved towards the car. "Kenzie!" Dwight said. "Where are yu going with your daughter?"

"We were just heading back to-" I started but he cut me off. "You know what? I don't care."

He took Mom's pistol. He opened his bag and motioned for me to do the same. I put my pistol in the bag. He took both of our machine guns. 

He sighed. "Now that's all settled. I have a job for you." Mom turned to him interested. "Go get me Daryl's bike."

"It ain't here." Mom snapped. "Well, if it ain't here, then you know where it is, right?" Dwight asked. "We both know you know where it is."

Mom pushed past Dwight when he stopped her. He took her hat off. Mom scowled. "Now you're good to go."

Mom got in the car. 

He then took her water flask. He dumped it all out. "Don't take too long."

Mom nodded angrily and started the engine. "I'll go with 'em." I heard my father say. He transformed and followed the car. 

We got to the place where Daryl hid his bike. Mom parked the car and we got out. I sighed. Dad's holoform got out of his truck. I wasn't talking to him. "Not gonna talk to me?" Dad asked. I didn't answer. 

"Kenzie, I'm doing this for you-"

"For me?!" I yelled. Dad looked. "YOU SAY THAT ABOUT EVERYTHING! YOU KILL FOR ME! YOU MURDER FOR ME! YOU BURNED TWO PEOPLE ALIVE FOR ME-"

"BECAUSE I WOULD BLOW EARTH UP FOR YOU." I tensed. "I would kill Rick just to protect you." Dad told me. I tensed. 

Me and Dad turned as mom ran off. 

I sighed. 

I stayed back with Dad while Spencer went for her. 

"I'm doing all of this to keep you alive." Dad snapped at me. I sighed. "I should have been killed." I muttered. 

"What did you just say?"

"I SAID I SHOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED! WHAT'S THE PURPOSE ME BEING ALIVE? YOU'RE WITH THEM! YOU'RE GONNA TURN INTO ONE OF THEM! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!" I screamed as I hit Dad's chest. He hugged me tightly. I cried on his chest. 

He wrapped his arms around me careful of my back.

We got back and I got out of Dad's truck. He transformed and he stood to his full height. He scanned a different truck. It was a semi truck still. 

We saw Rick and Michonne walk over. 

Dad sighed. "I'll see you soon, Sweetspark." 

He gently kissed my head. He transformed and led the trucks off. 

I felt like crying.
