Mackenzie Rosita Prime POV
I was walking with Rick and Eugene. "In regards to our makeshift levee upstream, given the current rate of spring runoff, I'd put its expiration date at another six to nine days. After that it's slam blam, sayonara cofferdam." Eugene told us. "How fast can we have those supports ready?" I asked.
"Well, ditton on the six to nine, but if we boost our juice and shed the lead, I think we can beat it." Eugene said. "I'll talk to the foreman, make sure we do." Rick stated. Mom walked beside me. "Scouts just got back. 'Horatio's' gonna pass us by, but it'll be close." Mom said.
"We got a head count?" I asked. "100 and change." Mom said. Rick sighed. "What, you think we should push the blasting?" Mom asked. "Nah. If we wait, we'll wind up drawing that other herd. 'Margaret.'" Rick said.
"Right."
"And that one's five times as big. We got the sirens in place?" Rick asked. "Hell, yeah." Mom said.
"Then we blow the rockslide." Rick said. "If the herd comes, we'll redirect." Rick ordered. "All right, I'll let 'em know." Mom said. She walked off.
"Anything on those walk-offs?" Rick asked Eugene. "As of head count this mafiana, we're down one more Savior. That's six in the past month." Eugene told us. I sighed. "I'll talk to Carol about it." I told Rick. Me and him walked forward.
We got to the infirmary tent. "How's the star student doing?" I asked. "Ready to take on anything." Siddiq told me. "Good. She's gonna get her chance. I need you to head to Alexandria. There's a bug going around." I told him. "Okay. I'll head out with the next escort." Siddiq told me. "Wait. He's leaving?" Enid asked.
"Ow!"
"Sorry." She turned to us. "Uh, it's fine. I-I've got this." She chuckled nervously. I smiled. "Yeah, I know."
Me, Eugene, and Rick walked off.
We passed by the bridge to see fighting. "Shit!"
Me and Rick ran up. "HEY BREAK IT UP" I yelled. I grabbed Daryl and kept him back. "I said enough. Enough" I snapped at Daryl. He spit out blood. "get back to work." I snapped.
I stood by a tree and I sighed. I watched everyone interact with each other. I then felt sadness. Flamethrower would have liked this. I sniffled. "Hey." I saw Rick. "You coming back to Alexandria with me?" I nodded.
"Come on."
I was sitting on the porch of the house beside Michonne when I noticed one of the guys running over.
I walked over.
They were telling me someone took the guy out. I turned to Rick. He squeezed my hand.
Rhagar roared as he dropped down from the air. He snarled as he landed. "EVERYONE BACK OFF! RIGHT NOW!" Rick yelled. Arat and Laura took their weapons. Rhagar circled everyone a few times. "Start the redirect. Pair off to work the grid." Rick snapped.
I then got off Rhagar along with Rick.
I watched the Saviors walk off.
