15. Home Again

Cleo's P.O.V.

I lightly open my eyes, and see from the clock on my bedside table that it is Two-fifteen in the afternoon, I shake my head as I realize it's been a little over four hours since everything happened. I close my eyes as I still feel extremely tired. As I begin to drift back off to sleep again, I hear the door that joins mine and Declan's rooms open, then lightly close. I stay still as I hear someone walk toward my bed. I feel fingers lightly graze my cheek, then I feel lips lightly kiss the side of my head.

"I love you." Declan whispers in my ear, I continue to stay still, then hear the door that joins our rooms open, then close again. As I stay still and quiet, I hear what sounds like Declan's bedroom door open. I slowly sit up, then feel a little flutter in my stomach. I lightly smile, then place one of my hands over my stomach, then I rub over my stomach with my thumb. The flutter happens under my thumb as I lightly rub my stomach.

I slowly get off my bed, then walk to my bathroom. I walk in and go to my closet, I change out of my all black outfit I had been wearing and change into jean shorts and a long dark blue crew neck tank top with thick shoulder straps. I slip on black slides, then walk out of my closet, and out of my bathroom.

"Cleo, come to my office." Luna Tahlia says, I open my door, then walk out of my room. Silently, I walk down the hall, then turn the corner toward Luna Tahlia's office. As I go down the hallway, I catch a whiff of Declan's scent as I get close to the dining room and get in front of Luna Tahlia's office door. Before I even knock, Luna Tahlia opens the door and ushers me inside.

"We have a small window of time, since he's in the dining room." Luna Tahlia mentally explains, I nod as I look around her office and see an ultrasound machine close to the couch that sits at the back wall of the office. I give her a questioning look.

"I checked Mckelty every once in a while, when she was with child. Most of the pack that have had children, have come to me and asked that I check them. They find it more comforting." I nod, then make my way to the couch, and lay down on it.

"Parker, come to Luna Tahlia's office." I mentally call, then hear Parker hum. A light knock sounds on the door, then Luna Tahlia goes to open the door. She opens the door a little, then moves aside to allow Parker to come into the office. He see's me laying on the couch, then rushes up to me.

"Are you okay?" Parker urgently asks, I nod then point to the ultrasound machine. Parker's eyes go wide, he stands at the end of the couch, to allow Luna Tahlia room to start up the machine.

"Have you felt movement since earlier?" Luna Tahlia looks at me, I nod, then she lightly smiles.

"Just after you had left my room, while I was talking to Julian, then just after I woke up, after Declan had come into my room." Luna Tahlia's eyes go wide when she hears about Declan coming to my room.

"Did he do anything?" I look at Luna Tahlia, then look down at my stomach.

"He came in, stroked my hair, and kissed the side of my head." I explain, Luna Tahlia nods lightly as she starts getting the machine ready.

"Did he say anything to you?" Parker asks, I look at him, then look to the ultrasound screen as it turns on.

"He said he loved me, then walked out of the room." I hear the tears in my voice, as I mentally explain to Parker what was said.

"Parker, come up to Cleo's head. I'm going to need to move the machine down to where you are." Luna Tahlia explains, Parker nods then moves up by my head, as Luna Tahlia positions the machine down by my feet. I lightly raise my shirt above my stomach, then Luna Tahlia puts the gel on it. She taps a few buttons, then places the ultrasound camera on my stomach, and swirls it around in the gel to move the gel around.
