You had been dating Mina for a few months now, and she had become very comfortable with you. Tonight, as the two of you lounged on the couch watching a movie, Mina seemed to be getting more and more restless. She kept shifting around and fidgeting, and you weren't sure what was going on.
Finally, she let out a sigh and turned to you with a pout. "Can I ask you something?" she said, her eyes hopeful.
"Of course you can," you replied, scooting closer to her.
"Can we cuddle?" she asked, her cheeks turning pink.
You smiled and wrapped your arms around her, pulling her close. "I'd love to," you said, burying your face in her hair. "What's going on? Are you okay?"
Mina let out a breath, relaxing into your embrace. "I don't know," she admitted. "I just feel… restless, I guess. Like I want something but I don't know what it is."
You stroked her hair, enjoying the warmth of her body against yours. "Maybe you just need some closeness," you suggested. "Do you want to talk about anything in particular?"
Mina shifted again, this time so she was lying on her back with her head in your lap. She looked up at you, her eyes intently focused on your face. "I just want to be with you," she said softly.
You smiled down at her, cupping her cheek with your hand. "I'm right here," you said. "I'm not going anywhere."
Mina closed her eyes and let out a contented sigh, snuggling closer to you. The movie played on in the background, but you barely noticed it. All you could focus on was the feel of Mina's body pressed against yours, and the softness of her hair as you ran your fingers through it.
Eventually, Mina drifted off to sleep in your arms, her breathing slow and even. You watched her for a few more moments before shutting off the TV and carrying her to bed. As you tucked her in and settled in beside her, you knew that this was just the beginning of many more cuddles to come.
