A knock came over (Y/n)'s office door as she typed away on her computer. She glanced up for a moment then called out.
"Come in!"
The door opened slowly and a familiar face walked in looking tired.
"Hello, (Y/n)," Julie smiled lightly. "It's been a while huh?"
She smiled at the blonde monster, "It has been. How are you?"
"I wish I could say better. I'm sure you heard the news."
She nodded, "Vaguely, but you know him, he doesn't talk much. I'm sorry to hear about all of it."
"Thank you, I'm actually here because I want to talk to him. He needs to sign these papers by the end of the day today and I haven't seen or heard from him."
(Y/n) stood up from her desk and approached Julie extending a hand, "If you give them to me I'm sure I can get him to sign them. He signs anything I give him really."
"I'd really appreciate that." Julie smiled at her. "I need it by the morning, please."
"You can count on me, is there anything else you need?"
"When you see him can you tell him to give me a call?"
"Sure thing," (Y/n) walked back to her desk and placed the folder on top, "I'm not sure if he's going to do it but I'll give him the message."
"Thank you, (Y/n). You're the only sense of reason he has left." Julie said her goodbyes and left the room, shutting the office door behind her.
(Y/n) waited several moments before sliding her office chair back and crossing her arms, "Alright, she's gone."
Under her desk, somehow, Wally had bent himself to fit perfectly, however, there was little to no room left. Slowly he un-bent himself and crawled out from under.
"You know, you can't just hide under my desk whenever your ex comes to visit. She's not mean."
"You haven't seen our fights." He began dusting his pants off. "So she wants me to sign these papers?"
"I'd have your lawyer look over them first I don't know what they are."
Wally sighed, "I asked her not to go through with all of it, you know."
He was being vulnerable with her which was surprising, this meant the situation was weighing heavy on him.
"Do you still love her?" (Y/n) asked softly.
Wally waited a few moments before answering, "I don't know..."
She shrugged, "It's not something to worry about right now. Do you want a cup of coffee? I need to get myself a refill."
He smiled at her, "That would be nice, actually."
(Y/n) smiled at him and stood up from her chair. He went back to his own office as she went out to get the coffee. While walking there a text came in from Dr. Joy.
Joy: Meet me in my office in 10 minutes.
This had to be the results of her CT scan that finally came in. With no time to lose she traveled down to the first floor of the building to find Joy. Once reaching his office she simply walked in and closed the door.
"Hey, do you have the results?"
However, upon seeing his face he looked troubled, nervous even.
"Joy?"
He let out a sigh and took off his glasses rubbing his eyes.
"Joy, what did you find?"
He took another breath before getting out the pictures of her scan and pushing them toward her.
