"Absolutely not," Joy's voice hardened as he crossed his arms.

"Joy you don't understand, I need to speak with Lucy. Something isn't right."

"If you haven't noticed nothing is right. This entire place goes against the moralities of society." He sighs, "Look, even I get weird about it, but I don't think we should go digging in things we shouldn't. It's not safe, and you're already dealing with the effects of the rainbow serum."

(Y/n) paused taking in his words, but her need to find out what was going on was far greater than what he was saying.

"I just need to know, Joy. I — something isn't right."

"(Y/n), nothing is right in this place. I mean look at what we do."

He had a strong point and seemed to share the same morals. (Y/n) nodded for a moment looking down at her hands.

"If I go will you tell Wally?"

"I wouldn't tell Wally if you got a paper cut. I still don't get why you're with that man if you don't trust him."

"It's — it's complicated okay? I just — think he has issues, and I want to help him through it."

Dr. Joy sighed, "I can hook you up with a tranquilizer to calm the experiment down. Maybe then you can get something out of it."

"How long will it last?"

Joy stood up from his desk leading the way out of the office. (Y/n) followed him close behind.

"20 minutes tops. I'm hoping this "Lucy" can get you answers. It might be difficult since I don't know her weight to get an approximate amount of tranquilizer. I'll have to guess. Let's hope it's not too much or too little."

Joy looked around making sure others weren't paying attention to their conversation. He continued on his path down the hallways until reaching their small medical pharmacy.

Using his ID he entered into the room and immediately began searching.

"I'll be doing inventory this next quarter so I can lie about the tranquilizer gone missing." He explained moving through the cabinets.

Joy began going through cabinets finding syringes and a small bottle. He then turned and folding it into her hand.

"This is enough to take her out. Only fill half of the syringe. She will only need half, I think. I can't promise it will work." He then looked into her eyes, "Please be safe, okay? I don't want anything happening to you."

(Y/n) nodded at him before shoving the supplies into her pocket.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

The hallway with the cells seemed much quieter and much colder than her previous visit. She walked quietly down past each empty cell before coming to Lucy's.

The creature was in the corner mumbling to itself. (Y/n) looking in through the window at them before preparing her dart gun. She aimed it at Lucy's back, holding her breath before shooting it.

Lucy flinched and immediately stood to her feet to see where it had come from. She made eye contact with (Y/n) who looked directly back at her. Her eyes seemed sad, tired even.

"You..." The creature spoke.

"You said your name is Lucy."

"Yes, name is Lucy." The creature squatted back down holding its knees against its chest. "Harm?"

(Y/n) wasn't sure how much it would understand but hoped her simple words were enough.

"No harm." (Y/n) spoke, shaking her head. "Help."
