CHAPTER IX: I Saw Him, Again!

Present Time....

"Mom, I'm going to buy some groceries, do you need something?" I asked. I don't know how but in all these years the relation between my mom and me has been so sorted. She's become more supportive for me, we've starting talking and sharing things more. Maybe we just needed to give some time to each other. "No nothing, but come soon. Don't wander around with your stupid friends." She said from the kitchen. I guess somethings never change in moms. "Yes mom." I went out, took an auto and reached the grocery store. "Hey uncle." I greeted the store owner. "Hey, it's been long since you came here." He said smiling. "Yes was bit busy, this is the list of things I need." He asked his staff to get all those things. "Here, Rs 450." He said after calculating. I paid for the stuff, thanked him and was waiting for an auto to get back home. The road seemed so empty as no auto or rikshaw was passing by, maybe because it was a hot summer afternoon. I waited for few more minutes when suddenly a car stopped infront of me. The car window got down and I looked inside the car. My heart stopped for a moment, it was Yug.

"Hey." He said from the car with a smile. He didn't changed a bit, except for his all pumped up biceps. He had that same sweet smile on that same old pretty face. The same old unbothered him. "Hi." I said coming back from the memory lane of him breaking my heart and living on unbothered with his new love. "Do you want a lift? I mean can I drop you home? He asked. "No thanks, I'm just waiting for an auto. I'll go home on my own, don't bother yourself." I said. "There's no auto around and it's very hot too, I can drop you. Please?" He said getting down opening the car door for me. "Why bother yourself now when you didn't care for all these years? I can go home on my own, or do you want to show that you're still that innocent looking boy who cares so much and I'm that bitch who ruined all of it?" "Kayra?" He said bringing me back from my imagination of saying these things to him. "Ya, okay." I said sitting in his car. "So, how is everything? It's been long since we've met right? Except the constant arguments and the fights we used to have over chats." He said driving. "Ya it's like ancient history, I've completely moved on and I realised how stupid I was crying over you" I said laughing in order to mock him. "You're still sharp as a knife with those taunts." "Really? Haha! So how many girlfriends now?" "Just one, the only one." He said smiling.

"Stop the car." I said irritated. "What happened, are you fine? I thought you moved on from me. I'm sorry." He said stopping the car. "Don't flatter yourself Yug, we've reached my place." I said in a sharp tone. I got down of the car and moved towards my house. I looked back to see if he was gone, and when I turned around he wasn't there. It reminded me of the times when I used to turn around and he used to wait there smiling. "I'm home." I said keeping the groceries in their place. "What's with that mood? You fine baby sis?" I heard Rey's voice from the hall. I ran there and saw Rey sitting their waiting for me. I ran to him and hugged him. "Oh my god, why didn't you tell me you were coming home, when did you came back? Oh God! I missed you." I said hugging him in excitement. "I missed you too, thought why not surprise my baby sis, when she needs me. How are you?" He said. "I'm great now." "Okay okay, enough of brother sister bonding, Yug go fresh up and come down for lunch. You too Kayra." Mom said from the kitchen cooking lunch for us. "Yes mom." We said together.

"Wow mom the food is so good, it's like I'm eating this after so long. The hostel food is nothing compared to your hand food." Rey said eating like he's been starved for days. "Really? Oh my boy. Eat as much as you want till you're here. If you'll say I'll pack some of homemade food for you to take with you when you'll leave." Mom said. "No, no mom don't bother yourself much. It's okay." "Will you guys stop this, it's so annoying." I said irritated with their mom-sin bonding over food. "You keep quiet Kayra, you don't eat food i make that doesn't mean nobody will eat." "Yaa whatever. I'm full I'm going to my room." I said getting up from the table. After few minutes Rey joined me in my room. "So tell me, what was with the mood before? When you came home, what happened?" He asked sitting on my bed. "Nothing much I met Yug, he dropped me home. There were no auto so." "Really? Well obviously it's so hot and it's mid afternoon obviously you'll find less auto, you should have went later. And forget that how come Yug came there and he dropped you? Why? Why did you came with him?" He said with his all annoying worried tone. "Oh God will you relax. I knew I won't get auto there at this time, I went there purposely, I knew Yug was that side, he had put up a story on Instagram. I saw with a fake I'd I've for him. I wanted him to see me there on the road, and I knew he would stop and insist on dropping me home. In order to start my plan I need to be near him, be friends maybe. And I guess it's working, i got his text in WhatsApp since I've unblocked him." I said showing Rey my phone. "What has he texted you?" Rey asked. I gave my phone to Rey as read Yug's text on it.
"Hey, saw that you've unblocked me so texted you, I hope you won't block me again. It was nice to meet you today after so long. Would you like to maybe meet again someday? Just coffee?"
"Wow, what a jerk." Rey said laughing. "I know right. He is so desperate." "You'll go meet him, right?" "Well duh, offcourse." I said laughing. We both laughed.
