CHAPTER XII: Stage One: The Bonding

"Seriously Yug? You think I'm that stupid? I won't understand anything you've been doing? I just don't understand why? You could have simply told me we could have talked." I said in anger. "Talked? Do you even have time to talk? And she's just a friend. I met her during our exam time and we just turned out to be good friends. That's it. And I'm just annoyed with your this 24×7 nagging." He said irritated. "Friends? Does friends talk about their fantasies? How they wanna get fucked? How she wants you to hold her closely and you want to kiss her? And the fact that she's just your friend and you're texting her saying you've fallen in love with her? And that she sends you boyfriend posts? If this is what friends do then I guess my friendship with people have been very wrong. Isn't it?" "Seriously Kayra?" He sounded surprised. "What you're surprised how I know about the texts when you've changed the password of your I'd? Too bad I could easily figure it out with the help of your other I'd." I said. "You know what Kayra, I just can't do this anymore. You've literally changed alot. I just can't deal with yog anymore. I need some time and some space." He said without a pause. "You can't deal with it? Are you being serious right now? First you're cheating on me and now you're making it look I'm in fault? I just can't believe it. What the hell have I done? I've loved you more than anything and your saying you can't deal with me anymore?" I said sobbing. "Stop crying please. It's just too messed up with your parents and you being grounded it feels like I'm just out of love with you." He said. "Out of love? You said you love me two days ago and your out of love now? Yug I love you please just don't leave me. Please i promise I'll give you your space everything just don't leave me I'm sorry." I begged crying. " Seriously stop crying, I know you love me but I just need time, sorry bye." "Yug wait, you can't just leave? Yug? Yug?" He left shutting the door with a thud on my face and i opened my eyes.

"Ugh another dream. When will this stop, I'm so tired of it." I thought to myself. I slowly turned to the window side and looked at the sky. It was a beautiful morning with fresh morning fragrance but my dream just made it impossible to enjoy it. I looked at the clock it was ten o'clock. I got up and checked my phone and saw two missed calls. "Why is Harsh calling me this morning, ugh." I said annoyed and called him back. "Hey, you called? I just woke up." I said. "Ohh I didn't know that. Actually I called to say that everyone's planning to go to the college today to collect all the graduating documents you wanna come?" "Umm at what time because I just woke up " I asked. "Around 1. You coming?" "Okay I'll be there." I said and hung up the call. I lied down and scrolled my phone for few more minutes and saw a text from Yug saying, "Hey, good morning." I ignored his text but then thought that if I have to start the stage one of my plan I have to speak to him. I replied him with a "morning" and got up to take shower.

"Mom I'm leaving will be back by an hour." I said wearing my sandle. "Okay, but don't be too late you know I also have to leave with your dad and the keys will be with me." "No problem, you can give the keys to the staff I'll take it from him if I'll be late coming home. Okay now I'm leaving bye." I got out and waited for an auto when I got a call from Yug. "Hey, what's up." I said. "Hey you're out?" "Yes, going to the college to collect my documents. Where are you?" I asked sitting in the auto. "Oh, I'm in my office but will be having my lunch break by two, if your work will finish we can meet." He said. "Umm sure, I'll be done in an hour plus mom dad will also not be home so I'll probably stay out, cool then I'll call you." I disconnected the call as I reached college. After my highschool things weren't great I didn't got great marks to get into a great college unlike my brother so I had to stay in town and study here itself. I blame Yug for my bad marks and a little bit myself. But why cry now, it's all done and dusted I've graduated now. "Hey Kayra." I heard Harsh's voice from upstairs. "Hey, you guys it's been long." I said. It had been long since I met my friends after the college got over, I guess I was too busy planning different ways to hurt Yug, that I cancelled all the meeting plans they made. "So you finally got time to meet us. Nicee. If we knew that a call from Harsh will bring you to meet us we would have asked him to call you everytime you cancelled on us." Anjali said mocking me. Anjali and I weren't great friends from the start, but eventually with time we became great friends. "It's not like that, come on, I was just busy with something. Sorry." I said. "Okay come on, let's go get the documents." Aditya said. Well I knew Aditya since high school he was my senior there but then we kind of lost touch until we suddenly met on the entrance exam of the college and became much better friends. "Yeah.." we said and moves to the department office.

We all collected our documents and we're sitting in the college canteen. "Hey Kayra you've got any plans today?" Anjali asked. "Not really, but I've to meet an old friend today and then will get back home." "Old friend? You've cancelled on us everytime and now you're meeting an old friend? Who's this old friend by the way." She asked irritated. "Okay don't be mad it's Yug, he's coming to pick me up in few minutes." I said a bit hesitating. "What??" All of them shouted. "You're meeting him? I mean you've got time to meet him but us?" Anjali said. "Look I didn't plan in meeting him he just called and asked if I'm free so I was after here because mom is also not home so I thought okay." I said. "Ughh seriously, you can just hang out with us." "Ya I know but he called and was asking so I said fine." "Seriously he's still got that hold on you that if he calls and ask you'll just say okay?" Aditya said. Well he knew about Yug and me since highschool so can't blame him for judging. "Hey it's nothing like that, he's been nagging me since so many days so I thought okay fine I'll meet. That's it." I said. "Ya fine." They said. We were talking when my phone ranged. "Hey, I'm outside where are you? Yug said. "Yeah I'm just coming two minutes." I said and hung the call. "Okay guys Yug's here, I'll see you guys later. Bye." I said and got out. "Kayra, wait up." I heard Aditya calling me. "Yes, what?" I said. "See don't take me wrong, but you once called me your brother so this is just out of that brother worrying and all, but you know what had happened in those years how hurt you have been because of him. Just be careful this time because everyone who knows both of you knows how much you loved him and what happened so you know what I mean." "Yes I know, and it's nothing like that, it's just he was nagging me alot so I said yes on meeting. Relax . I'm no seventeen years old anymore I'm a grown up now." I said smiling. "Okay, but grown up? I doubt that." He said laughing. "Get lost idiot." I said laughing and biding bye.

I came out and saw his car. I went and sat inside. "Hey, were you waiting for long? Sorry." I said. "No it's fine, wasn't waiting for that long. So where you wanna go?" He said smiling. "I'm starving can we go somewhere to eat." I said. "Sure". He said and drove the car. We talked about different things while we reached the cafe. "What do you wanna eat?" He asked me. I looked in the menu for a minute and said "Pizza. I'm in a mood of pizza today. What about you? Because I know you hate pizza." "Well yeah, I'll have the pasta." He said. The waiter took the orders and went away. "So what's up with you, why suddenly you wanted to meet?" I asked. "Nothing just like that. It had been long." He said. "How's your girlfriend then? What was her name again?" "Ashima, Ashima Khanna." He said. "Nice". I said sipping water. "Hey wait she's also Khanna, are you guys sisters or what" he said laughing. "Maybe yes." I said with a smirk. "Wait what?" "Ugh just kidding, if our surname is same doesn't mean we all are from same family. I mean all the guys and girls with Khanna surname aren't my family right. Lol." I said smiling. "Ugh yeah, sorry for once I was like what." He said with a relief. We were talking when our food came. After we finished he dropped me home and went to his office. I got home and lied on my bed thinking that this time to my surprise we just ate, talked, and laughed. I guess my stage one of the plan actually went well.
