St. Louis was at home alone in the morning, and that was fine.

The cruiser knew that she wouldn't be alone for very long, seeing as she had five sisters, one alternate universe sister (and if the commander was quick about it, a sweet human), and what was basically a niece all ready to drop in at any moment.

But there were also times she didn't mind having the run of the home, of course, as she could do all those things that she liked doing when no one was around to make a fuss about it, like lounge around in fewer clothes than Honolulu was comfortable with. Her sisters were all lovely, but varying degrees of more chaste than she was, so she appreciated the times she could just be the self that she was when no one (or only her and a theoretical special someone) was watching.

She quickly squeezed back into her regular blue and white dress once she heard the doorbell ring, and tugged the hem down before opening the door.

On the other side was Sirius, the maid wearing her usual expression of contrition, with a few smudges of frosting on the upper part of her uniform telling a bit of a story already. She curtsied quickly. "Ah, miss St. Louis, I'm sorry to disturb you, but is miss Honolulu in?"

St. Louis smiled. "Oh? She isn't in right now, but I don't think you'll have to wait long. You can come in, have a seat, I'll bring you something."

Sirius slowly walked in, and plopped down on a couch, while St. Louis started humming playfully as she went to the kitchen. "You don't need to trouble yourself on this maid's account, miss St. Louis."

"Maybe I want to. Besides, you're a maid to the Royal house, you're not our maid." St. Louis put the water on to boil. "Also, it's nice to have Honolulu's friends come over. She always talks about how hard it is for her to make friends and all, but when she does, it always seems to be with the cutest girls. Like Leander, you, that sweet fox who's always apologizing even though she hasn't done anything wrong..."

Sirius blushed a bit- making others blush was a skill St. Louis regularly exercised, whether intentionally or not. "Ah... thank you for your consideration, then..."

She waited quietly, and eventually, St. Louis came back out with tea and cookies, leaning over to place both on the coffee table and giving Sirius an eyeful of her hostess- Siris soon learned the main difference between St. Louis and Honolulu was one of attitude. St. Louis smiled. "So, what brings you here, or is it something that's just between you and Lulu?"

"I..." She thought about it, and soon relaxed after taking a sip from her cup. "...I guess it would affect you, too, but I want miss Honolulu to be here..."

St. Louis simply sat down, and smiled warmly as she watched Sirius comfort herself with food and drink, and eventually, Honolulu came back in, the cruiser hanging her hat on the rack. "At least the commander let us out early, sis, and..." She blinked. "Sirius? Why did you come by? You usually call ahead or text or something."

"Miss Honolulu!" Sirius stood up quickly, with St. Louis quickly making sure the maid's teacup wasn't placed in any kind of precarious position. Sirius bowed to Honolulu. "I'm very sorry to drop in unannounced like this, but something happened at the Royal house. This maid has thoroughly embarrassed her majesty, and I could not think of anywhere else to go."

Honolulu blinked. "Hold up- what could you have possibly done that'd make you want to run away? Belfast has never made a big deal whenever you've had a slip up."

Sirius shook her head. "Belfast, no, but her majesty... Maybe I should explain how I have so thoroughly offended her majesty's sensibilities with my clumsy self."

Honolulu sat down. "All, right, just sit down and tell me what happened."

Sirius joined Honolulu on the couch. "I was one of the maids who was asked to attend her majesty's midday meal- she often has it when she's in the middle of business with other high-ranking members of the Royal Navy, like Prince of Wales and other persons of similar import, and that was much the case this time as well. Things were wrapping up, and dessert was being served..." Sirius began to trail off.
