On that fateful night, the castle was shrouded in a deep coldness permeating every corner. The wispy air was thick with snow that relentlessly fell, threatening to bury everything in its path. Despite the biting chill, Eren continued to call out for her, his voice echoing through the deserted halls. He wrapped his oversized coat tightly around him, but it offered little solace against the bone-chilling cold. With each step, his heart sank more profoundly in his chest as he realized no response was forthcoming. It seemed as if she had vanished without a trace. With a heavy heart, Eren turned around and trudged back toward her quarters, hoping against hope that he would find her there. After a few minutes of walking, he went to her quarters and knocked on the door to hear a response.

"Excuse me, Venus, you in there?" he called out, hoping for a response. However, he was met with silence, and his heart sank. With a hesitant hand, he turned the doorknob and was surprised to find it unlocked. He pushed the door open slowly and peered inside. The room was lonely, and there was no sign of Venus. As he scanned the room, his mind raced with questions about her whereabouts. Had she abandoned the royal family? He felt powerless and disheartened, unsure how to persuade her to stay. He carefully combed through the room, but no clues were in sight. It seemed she had vanished into thin air without leaving any trace behind.

In a calm tone, he expressed his frustration with a sigh. "Dammit..." The fact that she had vanished without leaving any clue was beyond belief. He replayed their conversation, trying to discern where he had gone wrong. Was it something he uttered without thinking? Finally, it dawned on him that his arrogance had caused their rift. He was filled with remorse and let down by his conduct.

"I can't believe this..." he muttered under his breath, his voice barely audible as he heaved a sigh of disappointment. His heart sank as he realized that his foolish words had once again ruined everything. He desperately wished he could turn back time and undo his mistake, but he knew it was too late. The moments ticked by slowly, and eventually, the captain appeared in the hallway, his footsteps echoing off the walls. As he approached Eren, standing outside Venus's maid quarters, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Something about the situation seemed off.

"My lord," the captain said, addressing Eren with concern. "Shouldn't you be attending to Venus for the evening? The General could be anywhere." Eren was caught off guard by the voice... he snapped his head toward Levi and replied in a frustrated tone.

" She left. She left because of my stupidity... I just scared her off completely, and now... now I can't find her...." He spoke with a cold tone as he spoke... it was clear that his mood had darkened significantly and was not a good one... he seemed genuinely hurt by the ordeal.

"YOU LET HER LEAVE? TOBIAS WANTS HER DEAD, MY LORD. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS?" The captain yelled in shock, which caused Eren to flinch. A vein appeared on Eren's head as he cried.

"No, I didn't LET her leave! She left on her own damn accord! This is god's punishment for my failure to hold my tongue this night!" His voice boomed with rage, his eyes flashing angrily, his teeth tightly clenched. Despite his efforts to maintain composure, he seemed to have lost control, consumed by the intense emotions coursing through him. The anger within him was palpable.

Christ... she could be fucking dead, my lord." The captain pinched the bridge of his nose. "We haven't found Tobias yet... we have nothing to go from. Are you certain she's just vanished?!"

"I AM ABSOLUTELY SURE SHE HAS VANISHED!" He yelled as his eyes flashed with a fiery red glow... the vein on his head was growing... but before it got out of control, he took a deep breath and spoke softly again. "I'm sorry... I'm just so... my emotions are out of control right now... I just don't like the fact that... that I let her leave...." He took another deep breath as he tried to calm down once more... but he could still feel a slight bit of anger within him.

"I'll have the guards scope the entire castle. You begin searching. Do not leave any stone unturned." Levi sighed. "Maybe you didn't fancy her as much as I thought you did, my lord." With that, he left to get the guards and help find her. Eren let out a slight chuckle of hurt as he heard what the captain said.

"I'll never be able to explain it to people... what I feel is deep inside of me... but at the very least, I care about her... and she is in danger." He whispered, looking up at the ceiling as he took a deep breath; once the captain was out of earshot, he slammed his fist on the bed and yelled. "GOD DAMMIT!" After letting out that yell, he went into action. "I will not sit and do nothing." He stated as he looked up at the ceiling again. "I want to make things right... I have to make things right." He muttered as he stood up and started to walk out of her bedroom. He had only two choices the library or the kitchen.
