Amidst the relentless winter storm, Eren's apprehension had reached an alarming level. The biting cold had rendered the entire landscape desolate, and the mere thought of you being stranded in such harsh conditions had sent chills down his spine. Day and night, he scoured the surroundings, hoping to catch a glimpse of you, but to no avail. The two weeks that had elapsed since your disappearance were nothing short of a nightmare. Despite their most diligent efforts, every nook and corner of the castle, the town, and the nearby forests had been combed through, yet the search had yielded no results. The absence of any trace of Venus had left Eren utterly shattered. His mind had become consumed by thoughts of you, and the realization of your likely escape had only served to intensify his longing for you.
"Damnit..." he muttered under his breath, the frustration and sadness evident in his demeanor as he paced the halls. It was clear that the situation had taken a toll on him, more than he was willing to admit. He was at a loss, unsure of what to do next. Should he give up on her? The thought plagued him day and night, unable to rid his mind of her. It was becoming an unhealthy obsession, but he couldn't seem to stop his thoughts from spiraling. "Damn that bastard Tobias," he whispered aloud, the bitterness in his tone palpable. He felt pathetic and powerless, his mood souring with each passing day. It was evident that he was losing control of himself once again. Finally, as Eren took his seat on the throne, Levi, his best captain seemed ecstatic. More than usual as a man of such standing tended to be more mellow and irritable. He ran into the grand throne room, a sickening but happy smile plaguing his face.
"My lord..."
"Captain, I cannot help but notice the wide smile on your face. May I ask what might have brought it about? Perhaps you have good news to share about Venus?" Eren inquired with a hint of tension in his voice, as he sat on his throne, waiting for the captain to reply. He was eager to hear any news and hoped that the captain had finally found you.
"Regrettably, our search for Venus is still ongoing. However, we have managed to apprehend the general who posed a threat to her life. Tobias, do you recall this individual? We have successfully taken him into custody," he conveyed with a tinge of relief. The news was bittersweet; on the one hand, they had finally tracked down Tobias, but on the other, there was still no sign of Venus.
"Tobias, can you confirm his whereabouts? Is he in a secure location?" He inquired with a stern tone, his eyes flashing a fiery red once again. The anger inside him was palpable, and he knew he had to confront the general.
"He is currently being detained in the dungeons. My lord, it was my hope that you would be the one to interrogate him. Given his rank, he may be uncooperative with me," the captain replied respectfully.
"Very well then. Take me to him. I shall take charge of the situation," he stated in an icy tone. Rising from his throne, he strode toward the captain, his eyes blazing with fury. He relished the thought of questioning the general, anticipating a compelling showdown between a prince and a high-ranking military official.
