As you walked down the grassy path toward the back entrance of the castle you found yourself face to face with a knight you recognized. His eyes peered down at your own as his slick hair poked out at the ends of his helmet. You hiked up the steps and bowed in respect to the knight.

"I have seen you walked down the halls of the castle from time to time. The servitude you have given to the kingdom is most gracious." The knight chuckled and took off his helmet.

"Is that so?" Jean chuckled and motioned for you to follow him. "That is rich coming from a servant." At first you did not want to follow behind him, but something told you it be best to follow suit. Going against a knight regardless of the sick feeling you got from him was bound to come back as bad karma. You walked alongside him and looked out the window and sighed. "I am sure you are wondering why I wanted to speak with you, or perhaps by the looks of things... why I awaited your arrival."

"I assume you needed someone to polish your armor?" Jean could only scoff at such a notion.

"Is that what you think this is about? You must be a fool, a smart one." He stopped in his tracks. You eyed the sword at his hip and stood before him smiling. "I do not know who you think you are, but you are incompetent and its quite obvious you think your spot at the crown will come too you. Don't you?"

"I beg your greatest pardon?" You were astonished, his words felt like stones in your stomach as you did not know what to make of such interaction.

"I saw you. I saw the prince. The both of you were having quite the conversation under that tree. Were you not?"

"I-..."

"Do not make yourself look more of a fool then you are now. What was spoken under that tree. Why beckon the prince to sit by you. You think your whorish capabilities saved you a spot as the future queen is that it? Do I look like a fool to you?" Jean got close to your face and gripped your wrist. "Answer me woman."

"It truly is a misunderstanding, he was only feeling anxious about the things in his life and sought comfort from me! I was only doing my job as a maid." Jean chuckled and turned away.

"Because that is all you are good for yes? A maid? Someone to wipe my ass and nothing more. Perhaps this is a warning then. Stay in a maid's place, and the prince shall stay in his own. Do I make myself clear Venus?" He released his grasp on your wrist as you back away slowly and nodded with great reluctance.

"Yes, yes of course."

"I truly do not give a damn what you to spoke of. Perhaps it was friendly and you were only there to provide him the comfort he may have needed, but know this Venus." He knelt down to your ear and smirked. "There will always be others... you are disposable." With such fowl language Jean placed his helmet back on and laughed heartily. His metal boots clanking against the marble floors of the castle as you stood there motionless, a single tear slid down your cheek.

"Disposable..." You whispered under your breath and quickly rushed to find your mother Ms. Hilgred.
