As the prince waited for you to leave the room and out of earshot, he turned his attention back towards the captain... a stern look was on his face as he spoke with an irritated tone. "So... a general wants her dead?" His eyes narrowed as he stared at the older gentleman and waited for his response. There would be consequences for the general's actions... he was ready for whatever response he received.

"My lord, that is correct," Levi said gravely as if horrified by what he heard. Eren's jaw dropped at what he had just heard, and his breathing grew heavy as anger ran through him... there was no way this could be true... he could not allow such a disgusting thing to occur.

"And what do you mean by that? Who wants Venus dead?" His tone grew harsher as he looked at the man with wide eyes in shock... this was something he had never expected to hear in a million years... yet his eyes were filled with a piercing fury filled with rage and hatred.

"The general you spoke harshly to during our meeting." His face twisted into pure rage and hatred as his eye's flashed with fury.

"Why am I not surprised. He has always been a hotheaded bastard. Are you completely sure of this?" His voice grew louder and louder with each sentence... he was about to explode at the mention of such an atrocity.

"It was merely a quick rumor spoken amongst the advisors, they say he stated it under his breath and nothing more. I will also tell Venus to stay in sight of advisors if something happens to her. She seems like such a bright light in your life, your highness. I don't need such a light dimmed." His fists tightened at his side as his breathing grew heavy... this was unacceptable... to think... they had planned to kill someone who had done nothing wrong... who had never broken any laws or hurt anyone... how could they be so low even to consider taking such an innocent and pure life? His heart was breaking as he imagined what would happen if you were to be killed... his anger had now grown exponentially since the previous situation... "whether such things were said in motivation or anger. It was still said."

"His name."

"I am for certain his name is... Tobias."

"Thank you for informing me, Captain. . . You have done me a huge favor. I shall remember this."

"Of course, though, may I ask, what will happen to the general? I'd hope I would get the ability to punish him before you take over." Eren smiled before looking at the captain with a sadistic look as he spoke.

"Recall the occurrence during our recent meeting when the generally displayed impoliteness towards Venus? Such a general shall be subjected to the same fate he intended to impose on Venus. His life is now forfeit. Would this punishment suffice for his heinous crimes?" His jaw tightened, and his eyes filled with vicious intent as he contemplated the general's agony. He desired the general to suffer the same pain he planned to inflict on Venus.

"I see... then permit me to participate in his punishment. I humbly desire to witness a man as wicked as he cry out in agony." Levi declared with a grin and added, "I shall not take any more of your time, my lord. Kindly proceed with your activities with the maid." Eren nodded; his tone was cold, and his smile sadistic and cruel.

"Thank you again for informing me. I shall always remember your efforts. Let me know immediately if you acquire any information regarding the other generals." He pointed his finger directly at the captain. The captain understood the message well, his eyes widening as he responded. Levi bowed and moved towards the door, but halted and turned back.

"My lord, one more matter." Eren arched an eyebrow; his expression was curious and cold.

"Do you require something from me?"

"May I request that you keep a watchful eye over Venus, at least for this evening? Perhaps you could shelter her in your chambers until this situation subsides," the captain implored. The frigid expression on the superior's face softened upon hearing the captain's words. It was evident that the request came straight from the captain's heart. Eren was taken aback by the commander's concern for a lowly maid like Venus. Nevertheless, he found it heartening to witness someone exhibit such compassion towards her.

"I can certainly grant your request, but I am curious as to why you hold such affection for Venus. You are the first person to demonstrate such benevolence towards her. Why is that?" Eren inquired.

"Despite my high-ranking status, I cannot help but notice Venus's kind heart. She goes above and beyond, without being prompted, to attend to our needs. For instance, she never waits for us to request tea; she's always one step ahead. It's... admirable," the commander responded, his demeanor transforming from formal to warm and empathetic. Eren was pleased to witness this shift in the commander's character.

"I would be delighted to extend an invitation to have her grace my chambers tonight and ensure that she receives proper compensation in the morning," he said, his eyes warming as he smiled at the man. His voice was friendly, as if a few words from the man had transformed him into a kinder, gentler person. Levi noticed the change in Eren's expression and chuckled.

"You have feelings for her, don't you?" Levi remarked, causing Eren's eyes to widen.

"Pardon me, Captain?," Eren replied almost defensively.

"Ah, it's nothing," Levi replied, smiling as he left the meeting room.
