Not a freak to me

Chiron led Lillith out the front door of the main house. Outside he found Nico leaning against one of the posts. Lillith appeared by his side and spotted Nico too.

"Nico could you take Lillith to the Hermes cabin." He said and Nico gave him a silent nod. Lillith looked at him a little worry on her face. The worry was not because she was being left alone with Nico, the one who tried to kill her but because she didn't want to be in a cabin with others. "Don't worry Lillith. The Hermes cabin is where all the newcomers that have yet to be claimed go. He is the God of travellers so it is only natural."

"Do you really believe that I will be claimed? I mean I'm not a demigod." Said Lillith

"I believe that part of you is demigod. Either way you are very extraordinary and not something that could have occurred without the interference of a God. I'm sure that in time that God will step forward and claim such a unique child." Nico got of the pillar he was leaning on and began to walk off.

"Um, thank you Chiron." Said Lillith.

"If there is anything wrong or that you need I urge you to come to me."

"Okay." She said before running to catch up with Nico.

"When we get to the Hermes cabin you should get changed and shower. By the time you've down that dinner will be ready. You were asleep most of the day."

"Okay." She said. There was silence between the two. "So Nico do you stay here at camp like everyone else?"

"No, not normally."

"Why not? They have a Hades cabin here."

"Yeah and Hades children aren't welcome here. We're not welcome anywhere. Everyone here thinks I'm a freak."

"Well for the record I don't." Nico stopped and looked at her.

"Your don't what?"

"I don't think your a freak." Nico huffed and began to walk away from her again.

"You can't say that. You don't know me."

"Maybe not personally but I know your type. I know because I'm one myself."

"You don't know anything."

"Oh really? I know that your actually probably a nice guy but because everyone rejects you you decided to reject them first. That way you don't feel disappointed. Does any of that sound familiar to you?" Nico glanced at her from the side. All of that was right. That is what he did but he wasn't going to admit it.

"No, that's not it at all." His walking speed speed up. Lillith sighed and ran to catch up with him. The cabins came into view. "There cabin 11, the Hermes cabin." He said walking up to the door and pointing to it. A ginger girl opened the door suddenly.

"I thought I heard voices. You mist be the new girl that was in the infirmary right?"

"Yeah I guess so."

"I'm Amber Greenfield."

"Lillith Lamwood." She said shaking the girls hand. Amber then looked at Nico with her brown eyes.

"Nico." She said. Nico gave her a silent nod then turned and silently left. Lillit watched as he walked away. "Don't feel bad about him. He has always been weird. Hardly even talks and that's when he is here."

"Where does he go when he leaves?"

"No one knows. The guys a mystery but it's surprising that he is still alive. The camp is safe for demigods because of Thalia's tree and the magic barriers but once we step put of that barrier it's anybody's game. How he does it I would like to know. Especially since he is a child of the big three. People like him and Percy attract more monsters than everyone else because of who their parents are. Anyway come on in." She said opening the door for her and Lillith. Lillith looked back once more at where Nico had disappeared and then followed Amber inside...
