The rain shrieked outside at this point. Asahina couldn't sleep, her dreams kept taunting her, her mother's face glued to her brain. Their previous interaction lingered in the folds of her mind, running this way and that, never to cease.

She sat upright, and looked around, breathing scattered.  Mizuki and Ena, the newfound lovebirds, were nowhere to be found, their belongings scattered on the floor. Kanade was at her desk composing music. It was beautiful. But when she heard the lyrics, it was even more beautiful:

🎵She is my sun🎵

🎵She is my moon🎵

🎵She is everything, what does she see?🎵

🎵My beautiful...my beautiful🎵

🎵Yuki~🎵

Asahina's face turned extremely red, her breathing finally evened out, but her pulse acted up in place of it. She felt the same way about her. At least she thought so. Unless...no, that couldn't be...she wouldn't make a song about her for no reason...would she? They were just friends, and only just friends, right? And anyways, what was the reason for Kanade to like her of all people? Her?

Asahina's mind raced, millions of billions of thoughts swarming this way and that, all of the possibilities were endless. Kanade didn't seem to notice her, and continued with finding the melody to her song.

She sighed, and Asahina couldn't help but do the same. She needed to calm down.

Whatever it was, it gave Asahina hope, she wanted to chase this feeling. Maybe Kanade's music would save her after all. And maybe it would save them.
