The next day at school, when tomorrow finally came, summer was over, Asahina knew that Kanade wouldn't be there. Ena and Mizuki wouldn't either. So Asahina was alone forever still.
That was until Asahina walked into her homeroom.
Sitting amongst her usual classmates, Shizuku and Airi, and everyone else, was Kanade.
Sitting by the window with a book in her hands, Kanade realized that Asahina was looking at her, and smiled. Which made Asahina happy with panic. What would her mother say?
"What-what are you doing here?" Asahina fumbled with her words, baffled by the sudden appearances of people she knew were not meant to be there with her.
"I am here. For you." she grabbed Asahina's hand, electricity running through her veins. The look she gave her was making her blush hard, making her know she was Asahina's knight in shining armor.
They had the same schedule all day, and so, would spend most of it happily chatting away as teachers explained expectations for the senior year of high school that they would spend. Ena and Mizuki ended up at the same school too, and would probably transfer over next month, depending on the environment. Asahina couldn't help but smile. And this time, it was real.
