Asahina had held her breath. She was angry, couldn't breathe. She had to do something to get this feeling off her chest. Impulsively grabbing scissors from her table, surprisingly still there, she snipped her hair down to just below the shoulders, purple hair all over the floor. She clipped up her hair and changed clothes. Sure, she came back from school, sure, it was raining unpredictably, but Asahina couldn't take it.
Nor could she care. Dressed in a jogger suit, grabbed her phone, umbrella, and then stormed out of her room. Her mom was humming her favorite song in the kitchen, the yellow light peeking through into the living room showing her shadow, and Asahina couldn't help but think her mother was a living shadow, and her silhouette simply leaked her essence.
Slowly, she crept out of the house. It was hard since the floorboards were slightly creaky by the door, but she managed well enough anyways.
The rain was cold, the air misty. Asahina had felt a feeling of aliveness under this downpour as the air hit her face. She started running, without even propping out her umbrella, and ran till she couldn't anymore, her lungs screaming in absolute, delicious agony.
She stopped at a random bench, threw herself down, and started crying uncontrollably, head in her hands, emotions spilling all over. Her phone rang out, it was her mom. Ignoring the call, she cried more and more, feeding into the pain.
She threw the umbrella down, staring at it blankly, and sighed in frustration. She couldn't figure how she should go about her situation.
"If only she knew how I really feel" she murmured, words seeping with hatred.
