[intermission 3] Chapter 15

Since 3rd grade

[by the way a intermission for this means a short story with extra drawings and art, so in theory you can just skip the chapter, these will be 500 words not including this warning, title, or other texts that isn't the main story] [this is 600 words]

Kai is sitting in a small classroom, which could barely be called a classroom, it was more so a spacious walk in closet, half the room had a wall, with a walkway on the side, it was made to be thin so the people on opposite sides could hear each other. Walking in and asking if the person on the other side was there, when he replied yes Kai questioned him.
Ka - "why can't I tell you names?"
"It'll make this more awkward, its a rule the teacher made since last year"
Ka - "why can't I know yours?"
"Wouldn't that be worse?
Ka - "fair- can I tell you who I'm talking about then?"
"... if they let you"

Kai calls Jayden, it was the very beginning of school so they weren't in class yet, she lets him say her name but she asks to stay on the phone, Kai didn't mind as he wanted to talk about how he met her.

Kai and Jayden's memory... .. .

4th grade year, a girl is talking to a small group of people, she has long black hair. a boy out of the group is talking about a girl he saw, they as group decided to try and talk to her, trying to talk she really didn't expect to have about 5 people talking to her, she was still a little bit awkward, so the girl with the long black hair helped her.

The only reason why they aren't all still friends was that 2 were brothers and they moved away, one boy liked the girl with the long black hair and got angry when she turned him down, and honestly they didn't know what happened to the other person, or what they looked like.
Years later Kai had came out to Jayden, who obviously accepted him, Jayden had more friends then Kai but she still spent most of her time with him, her friends didn't talk to Kai, but they didn't hate him or anything like that, Kai just never wanted to come out to anyone else.

Back to the present... .. .

"why haven't you guys done this together?"
J - "my teacher makes us come to the room in the mornings yet leaves minutes later, probably should put my phone up soon"
Ka - "wait, your not meant you be on your phone?-"
J - "lets ignore that-"

... .. .

later in the year, at this point they found the hole, and they are waiting on the plants and sweets. at some point they go up their own. despite going up when it was day when they got in the sweets world it was night, Kai was still climbing up the rope when Jayden got out it was dead silent, she thought as had gone deaf as Kai was pulling himself up, as Jayden helped him every thing went back to normal,

J - "could you hear anything?"
Ka - "uh, don't know?"

she put her arm back in the human world, and like time had stoped it went quiet. using her other hand she pressed on the grass, it didn't move, but when she took her arm back it did.

J - "I might just leave that for mother to figure out,"
Ka - "yea, but what are we going to do its been night for days now"
J - "we can go find a store? maybe ask the time,

... .. .

by the time they had gotten to a open store they felt sick, just to find out it was 3 in the morning, which was later then it was last time but still, the two didn't have a clue where the bakery or the orphanage was, and had only remembered where the hole was. but they weren't confident to get back to the hole from where they were, but after walking in a line to see if they could see light from the morning off their world

sorry for the random intermission- I was making chapter 16 as 15 but later changed it to 16, but this one is a little longer then a normal intermission,
