Adriane didn't know what happened after the fight; things were a blur. All she knew was that the man in the orange gui stayed with her the entire time. For a fleeting moment, she thought this was probably Son Goku, the other Saiyan from Earth, before she zoned out once again.
Goku was disappointed in his friends, his son was young, so it was understandable he didn't realize that such a powerful attack, such as the one this girl used, didn't come without cost but his friends had been training alongside him since they were children, they knew better.
When he got the full story from Gohan, he couldn't believe what had happened. How could his friends have been so cruel to a grieving little girl?
He had to carry her to the hospital to get checked out; he carried her in one arm and his son in the other. He was concerned with how light the girl was; he didn't know much about how much someone healthy should weigh, but he was pretty sure it was more than she did.
It was when they got to the hospital and the doctors tried to get close to her that things changed. Whenever a doctor got close, the room started to shake until they backed off. The doctors had to instruct Goku on how to wrap her wounds with bandages; this wasn't normally allowed, but the girl refused to let anyone but Gohan and Goku near her.
It was clear the girl was zoned out, lost in her mind, and not aware of who was around her, but it was more than apparent that she felt safe with Goku even when she wasn't aware.
Goku could only hope he bandaged her wounds correctly and that she didn't have any worse injuries that required the doctors to take care of her.
~In Adriane's mind~
Adriane silently walked around the town she had made in her mind, it felt like ages ago that she made this place. She didn't know where she was going, but anywhere felt better than real life at the moment.
She had lost her Uncle and Godfather; they had died, and she hadn't been able to do anything to protect them. She hadn't known that when she hugged them goodbye earlier that it would be the last time she would see them; she wished she had hugged them tighter and told them how much they meant to her. She was thankful she had told them that she loved them before they left, but love was too small for how much she cared for those two men.
They had been her family, her lifeline, but all she had left now was Bruce and with him and his family being superheroes they could die at any time too, and leave her all alone. Sure, Poison Ivy was her aunt but Adriane didn't know how she felt about her.
All these thoughts swirled in her head as she allowed her feet to carry her to wherever it was they were taking her. She thought for a moment that it was a bit funny that she got lost in her mind while inside a construct of her mind.
Adriane felt herself bump into one of the mind people she had made before and apologized without looking. Hey, she might have created them, and she didn't know if they had any real thoughts or feelings, but she wasn't going to be rude.
Then the person she bumped into spoke, and she felt the breath leave her lungs as she quickly turned to face them.
"It's alright, my dear, is everything okay?"
Standing right before Adriane was her mother, Lily Potter, who was looking at her with soft, loving eyes that had a hint of concern in them.
Adriane stared. She knew for a fact that she hadn't created this woman, so how was she here? As if reading her mind, Lily spoke again.
"I've been here all this time, I've never left you." As she spoke, she put a hand on Adriane's cheek, her eyes full of love, "My magic and soul attached itself to you that night and kept you safe from that leech you had in your mind."
