When Eugene left the tent, he go to his prisoner to continue the interrogation.
But he didn't expect Kaizer to teleport and appear beside him, following him like a dog. Kaizer looks at Eugene full of obsession and possessiveness while Eugene looks at Kaizer as if he's looking at a dead person. The contrast is just too great so everyone would witness such a scene will wonder how the two can spend stand beside each other.
"A dog who doesn't know his own place."
Eugene snorts, thinking of countless ways of committing murder.
Upon arriving at the tent he saw Milan who was tied up on the chair. Seeing Eugene come in with another person made Milan nervous, he look at the two with defense especially when the person who came with Eugene glanced at him with a cold gaze.
"Did they give you something to eat?"
Milan nodded.
"The Biscotti army who travel with you are all dead, when will the next army arrive?"
Milan breathe and said: "They would probably arrive one week from now. The army of the Biscotti kingdom is divided, some come to the south, some to the north, and some to the east and west. If your army is only on one destination I'm afraid this camp will be ambushed soon."
Eugene tilted his head.
"Biscotti has a large population, no wonder their army is like a colony of ants."
Milan frown: "No. Commoners are forced to join the war, if men refuse their families will be executed on the spot so they had no choice but to sacrifice their life for their family's safety."
Kaizer laugh at what he heard.
"A desperate king has desperate people."
Eugene glares at Kaizer who immediately shut his mouth.
"Since the king sacrifices his people, he is probably aware of the strength of the empire, however, outnumbering our soldier are not the solution. Biscotti king is stupid, he wanted to be an independent kingdom but he doesn't know how to make his place prosperous like our empire. He's only greedy for power and selfish for his own wealth."
Milan's face turns ugly.
Milan: "But common people are innocent. Because of their hunger, the only support of their kingdom is crumbling. Common people contribute to the economy higher than nobles. The kingdom can discharge them, which means to satisfy the king's hunger he doesn't care if the kingdom falls into ruin. It had no future."
Eugene taps his finger on the table.
"That king, his fate is doom."
Kaizer stare at Eugene with a hot look and said: "I can take the king's head for you."
"I'm happy if it's your head rolling on the ground."
Kaizer tsk and hummed. His wife is allergic to love words. What a pity.
Milan look at the two kids before him and couldn't understand a thing. Unlike on earth, he observe that kid's in this world are so mature, even at Biscotti Kingdom, he saw commoner kids working and noble kids socializing with adults like it's a normal thing.
Really, this world is just too much.
Not only chaotic but also full of crazy people, now he just wanted to go back to earth.
——Eugene exits the tent with Kaizer.
When they leave the Grand Duke, Marquis Shradinza and Duke Del Viltaria entered to see what the otherworldly person looks like. Eugene is aware of what Milan would face but they aren't cruel enough like others. If Milan can live and adjust in this world then he can stay in the empire without being executed. It's up to that person what path he would choose.
