The workload following the division of territories is overwhelming.
Kaizer grew agitated because he had limited time to spend with Eugene, and that time was spent teaching Eugene the geas spell. However, Eugene seemed indifferent, sipping his tea while observing people coming and going from the grand dukedom, trying to gauge the outcome of their discussions with Kaizer. He had a keen understanding of Kaizer's leadership style, problem-solving approach, and ruling methods.
"Young master, there's another letter from young master Eullian,"
Raising an eyebrow, Eugene received the letter.
Raphael observed his young master burning the letter without even bothering to read its contents. Raphael was satisfied with this because he had a negative impression of young master Eullian, who had proven to be unreasonable.
"Raphael, would you like to serve Timber?"
Surprised by the question, Raphael replied, "Pardon, young master?"
"Timber is in the Marquis Household and will soon awaken. If he marries my brother, the Marquis Household will become his home. I'm not fond of the manor's current servants, so I'm considering sending you back to serve and watch over Timber. What do you think?"
Though it would be a contract-based arrangement, Eugene was confident that his brother wouldn't mistreat Timber.
The manor's servants had not changed, and he lacked confidence in trusting them, given how they treated him with cold disdain simply because he wasn't favored.
"But, young master, what about you?"
"Oh, as for me," Eugene took another sip of tea and chuckled, "Let Kaizer handle your duties. He's suited for the task."
Raphael widened his eyes, but considering how the young Duke cherished and treated his young master with love, Raphael couldn't help but think that the young Duke wouldn't mind attending to his young master's needs. He imagined how many times the young Duke might glare at him upon discovering he is helping the young master get dressed and stand guard while bathing.
"If that's what you desire, then I will comply."
Raphael didn't mind seeing Vincent and Simon again, as long as they didn't pose a threat, he could ignore them and focus on his responsibilities.
"Then it's settled. You'll come with me tomorrow."
Eugene didn't really need a constant attendant, but Raphael's efficiency in carrying out his orders made him reluctant to leave Timber at the mercy of Shradinza's servants. Eugene didn't want Vincent, someone careless about their master, to be assigned as Timber's attendant.
He just hoped that Vincent and Simon would calm down; otherwise, he might have to take more drastic measures. He just didn't want any trouble involving Timber.
Eugene already knew how to lift the geas spell, but he continued practicing with Kaizer for evaluation and improvements. Now that Kaizer was occupied, Eugene found himself bored.
Boredom was intolerable, so he decided to disturb Kaizer.
"Is your office also your room?" Eugene asked while lounging on a couch.
Eugene reclined on the couch and snorted, gazing at the ceiling. "Kaizer, I just realized that you have never taken me shopping or given me any gifts—"
Kaizer immediately stood up in a panic.
"Let's go! Let's go shopping! Buy whatever you want!"
Eugene watched Kaizer approach and hurriedly carry him out of the office. Eugene was dumbfounded because he had only intended to tease Kaizer, but the result exceeded his expectations. Even Lancelotte, who was on his way to the office, was surprised and stood still in the hallway, papers in hand, momentarily lost before panicking.
