Upon awakening the following morning, Eugene's gaze lacked focus.
In the fleeting moments that ensued, he realized he felt no pain, his body wasn't sore, nor uncomfortable from yesterday's exercise. Gradually, Eugene lowered himself and noticed a shimmering strand swaying with his movement. As Eugene reached out to grasp the silvery threads, his pupils dilated as he recognized them as his own hair.
He gasped and glanced sideways.
There, on the bed, he spotted Kaizer's long raven color hair scattered, confirming his suspicion that during their intimate contact the day before, they unconsciously transformed into their god forms due to the shared divine magic. No wonder he felt nothing; in their godly state, their bodies would automatically regenerate from any damage, returning to their former vitality.
Rubbing his forehead, Eugene raised his legs and delivered a forceful kick to Kaizer.
He stood up and made his way toward the bathroom.
Kaizer, who had fallen from the bed, woke up in surprise and hastily rose to his feet, gazing at Eugene's back as he noticed Eugene's long silver hair. Momentarily dazed, Kaizer then looked at his own hair and realized he had transformed into his god form, swiftly reverting back.
His height decreased slightly, reverting to his fifteen-year-old self.
No wonder he had such stamina the previous day.
He had been too engrossed in pleasuring Eugene to notice their transformation into their god forms. Fortunately, he had cast a protective barrier the previous night; otherwise, the release of abundant divine magic would have caused disturbances in the world, potentially alerting the heavens to their presence.
Damn, no wonder his wife had kicked him out of bed early in the morning!
Now, morning kisses are gone!
Feeling disheartened, he rose and returned to bed, waiting for Eugene to finish bathing.
However, when Eugene finished bathing and emerged from the bathroom, he approached Kaizer and angrily punched him in the stomach, asking, "Did you enjoy yourself yesterday?" through gritted teeth before continuing, "Now, wait another hundred years!"
Kaizer clutched his stomach, begging for forgiveness.
"Honey, I'm sorry!"
Ignoring Kaizer, Eugene stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
Raphael was tidying up his young master's room when the door suddenly swung open. He observed his young master, his face twisted in displeasure, collapsing onto the bed while fixating on the ceiling, lost in thought. Though he wondered what had happened, he didn't question his young master's mood and continued cleaning, creating a soothing atmosphere.
Eugene closed his eyes and let out a sigh.
"Raphael, did a letter arrive from the palace?"
Raphael glanced at the study table and responded with a respectful tone, "Yes, it arrived last night during the engagement banquet. Additionally, a letter from the Vena Church arrived this morning, sent by Young Master Eullian."
Eugene opened his eyes and raised an eyebrow.
"A letter from Eullian? Hand it to me."
Eugene lifted his body and sat on the edge of the bed, observing as Raphael retrieved the letter from the table and presented it to him.
He first opened the letter from the emperor and perused its contents.
His lips couldn't help but curl upward upon reading the favorable news. "Raphael, prepare my clothes. I will be heading to the palace later."
