When Eugene woke up at night, he took a bath and change his clothes.

He was standing in front of the mirror when his sight landed on his study table. Vincent put Eullian's gift there and he saw a small particle of divine power which made him surprised, thinking that Eullian will probably awaken soon and the prophecy would appear.

Darkness devouring the light.

Eugene took a step and grab the box, opening it.

His grip tighten and he wanted to throw such a filthy thing but thinking of Eullian's smile, he purse his lips and put it down again.

Forget it.

Such a low divine aura. What about saints? He is a god.

Even if everyone condemns him as the darkness that is said from the prophecy. Those damn gods above won't be able to step on him anymore. Just let them wait until he ascends and took his revenge. He will make sure that Artha will be under his control and rewrite everything.

Snorting, he turns around and steps out of his room.

Raphael who is standing outside waiting for his master to wake up bow his head and said, "Young master, the dinner is still being prepared."

Eugene looks at Eullian's butler in surprise.

"Where's Vincent?"

Raphael's eyelashes tremble and replied with respect, "The Marquis did a post rotation adhering to the request of young master Eullian. From now on I will be at your service."

"What do you mean?"

Raphael's eyes darken: "Young master Eullian requested to have Vincent as his butler."

Thinking of the fact that he was actually thrown away is an insult. He can't help but feel dissatisfied so how about young master Eugene? Wouldn't he feel disrespected knowing that Vincent is his personal butler but was snatched by his younger brother?

"On what ground did Eullian elucidate the matter?"

Raphael was taken aback.

"Pardon?"

Eugene's deep eyes landed on Raphael's face and said, "Changing butler means he is not delighted with you. It is another way of telling you that you are an incompetent butler that can't satisfy his master. Did you not think that and accepted without valid reasons?"

Raphael's face turns pale.

He knew so he couldn't help but get angry. However, how can he not grab this opportunity? In this mansion, Young Master Eugene is the only person who is so close to a normal person. He rather serves Eugene than Eullian who is easily aggrieved by small mistakes.

"Is young master Eugene rejecting me?"

Eugene let out a low laugh: "How dare I? In this mansion, you're the different one."

Raphael's heart started to beat fast.

Did Young Master Eugene notice something?

"Come, escort me to visit my little sister."

Raphael let out a sigh of relief and follow his young master.

Eugene actually doesn't care who will serve him. But he admits he prefers Raphael than Vincent. Why? Because Raphael is so indifferent to his surrounding that he knew how to not cross the line. He is aware of his position and grasps when to speak or not. The difference between Vincent and Raphael is just too huge that among the servants, Raphael stands out the most.
