"Are you 100 percent sure about this? You don't want to close the bakery?" Yeosang asked worriedly since he had to leave Wooyoung alone on Thursday. The shorter male scowled and pushed his friend out of the bakery.
"I'm very sure! Go and enjoy your date and don't forget to tell me all about the tea," he chuckled.
"If you sense even a single thing wrong, call me! I'll come rushing," Yeosang said and squeezed his friend's hand tightly.
"I will, mother. Ugh, since when are you the caring one?"
"Since when have you been the caring one either?"
"Point. Get lost now," Wooyoung said cheekily and Yeosang rolled his eyes.
"Make sure to lock the doors before you clean up or nevermind that, I'll clean up tomorrow."
"Yah, Kang Yeosang, begone. Your prince charming is waiting for you."
Yeosang was still worried but Wooyoung was already waving him away so he sighed and left with a heavy heart. Just because he hadn't been attacked recently doesn't mean that he wouldn't be attacked again. That thought alone made Yeosang wonder if he should drop by the bakery tonight after his date but it also depended on Jongho.
Once Yeosang was but a small dot, Wooyoung hurriedly prepared for his plan. Regardless of whether he was getting attacked tonight or not, he felt it was better to play it safe. He set up the cameras in blind spots, mainly in the waiting room and one in the kitchen since those were the two areas he had been attacked in. He had also made a makeshift doll about his size with newspapers that he planned on hiding under a blanket to pretend like he was asleep in the waiting room. Other than that, he just had to get a picture of the other and lock him inside so he could interrogate him. Everything was perfect except Wooyoung was too nervous. What if he failed? Was the other going to do something worse to him? He shook his head, trying not to put himself down before trying. Sure, he could leave earlier just like Yeosang told him to and ignore the cleaning but he didn't want any pests to come inside and Wooyoung preferred things to be clean as well so there was no way he was going to leave without cleaning up.
Once all the cupcakes were on display and signs were flipped, he double checked if the cameras were working before hearing the bell ring. He headed out to the front and smiled when he saw the male in black.
"Welcome," he chirped, happy to see his regular. The male nodded and stood at the counter as Wooyoung took out the chocolate muffin and packed it. "I heard you talked to Yeosang about the muffin."
"Yes," was the simple response he received which made him pout a little. He wondered why the other didn't talk to him more. Weren't they close enough to do that now? They see each other almost everyday.
"Did you used to bake them when you were younger?"
"My friend did," the male replied as he paid Wooyoung and took the muffin. He was about to leave when Wooyoung unconsciously grabbed onto his sleeve, making him stop.
"Ah." Wooyoung let go and the male moved his arm away. "Sorry. I just wanted to know your name since you're a regular here and it's weird to keep referring to you as the man in black."
"Man in black is cool though," the male replied before making his way out, making Wooyoung stumped by his response. He burst out giggling after registering what the other had just said. He let out a relieved sigh and wondered if the other was always like this. So nonchalant about things. It made him want to befriend him more.
That being said though, Wooyoung believed that he should be more concerned about after-work hours as he brought the signboard in and flipped the one at the door. He made sure there was no one else before locking the front door and making his way to the back. He locked the door too and set up the dummy on the chair, placing a blanket over it. He felt satisfied when it looked just like someone was lying underneath it. He quickly turned off the lights and hid behind the counter, peeking to the back from where he was. He took out his phone and recorded just in case the cameras died or something. He wasn't sure for how long he had waited but every little creak or sound made Wooyoung flinch as he felt afraid sitting in the dark alone. He didn't need to be there in person to catch the guy on camera but he had to be there in person to catch him.
