The two spilled their apologies to each other and Wooyoung was the first to try to pull away, not because he wanted to let go of San but because San started to cough from how hard he was crying. He moved the male back who was reluctant to part from Wooyoung as he saw his teary face. It hurt him to see his friend crying this much and he wiped away his tears as San sniffled.
"I look ugly. Don't look at me," San blurted out and Wooyoung unintentionally snorted.
"If you look ugly with tears and snot, I must be hideous," Wooyoung replied jokingly. San coughed and laughed a little. "We suck at keeping things serious..."
"Who asked you to laugh first," San sulked as he wiped away Wooyoung's tears as well. "You're pretty....the most beautiful."
Wooyoung felt himself blush and he pouted a little. "I really am sorry and I'm sorry it took me this long to apologize too."
"All I was waiting for was that...," San said softly and Wooyoung sighed.
"I thought it would have been better if you had just forgotten it. Then we could have started over again but...I guess it was just me trying to avoid the bigger issue..."
San gave him another tight squeeze before finally letting the other have his space again. He sat down on the sand and Wooyoung sat beside him as they stared out into the sunset to show that he wasn't going to run away again. Wooyoung wasn't certain what this all meant but San held his hand and he wrapped his fingers around San's as well.
"So...what now?" Wooyoung asked nervously.
"Do you forgive me for what I've done?" San asked, sounding just as nervous. "I hurt you...a lot."
"I..."
"You hated me."
"No, I hated S."
"S is me, Wooyoung."
It really was jarring to hear it from San himself but Wooyoung had months to think it through and now that he was looking at San again, he couldn't help but to forgive and forget everything. In the time they were back together, even if those moments were planned, Wooyoung had never felt safer with anyone else other than San. Even now. Even though he knew S was him and vice versa.
"I know."
"Then..."
"Why did you choose to call yourself S?" Wooyoung asked instead and San gulped, knowing he should probably explain things before asking for forgiveness but he didn't know where to start.
"It's meant to be sadistic... remember I told you that I got together with someone else before?"
Wooyoung nodded.
"I realized I leaned that way and I...might have tried to do things but I got yelled at and I was called sadistic. That was when I realized that...even though you had raped me before, my thoughts about that moment after I got over it were...what if you were the one under me being raped instead? I thought it was so wrong to be that way but..I'm getting off topic."
"No, not at all. So...you pick S cause it stood for sadistic and not because your name is San?"
"I didn't connect the two when I blurted it out."
Wooyoung giggled a little, knowing how much of a simpleton San could be. "I see. I have so many questions that I don't know where to start too."
"You can just ask me anything...I won't run from you again."
"But will you stay with me?"
"Huh?"
"If I forgive you for what you did to me as S, will you stay with me?" Wooyoung asked while gazing at the water that rushed to shore and back to the sea.
