Give up.
"What do you mean give up?! He's been missing for more than 24 hours now!" Yeosang raised his voice even though he rarely did. He glared at Jongho who had told him to give up his search for Wooyoung. Yeosang had entered the bakery as usual and started working only to find that Wooyoung didn't show up at all. He was worried and started to call his friend but his calls went straight to voicemails. Even when he tried the 'find-my-phone' app that the two of them had installed for each other ever since Yeosang's incident, he realized that it wouldn't work if the phone was turned off. He tried to call San just in case the other was with him but San didn't pick up either. He called Jongho after that to check with the other if he could find Wooyoung's phone or try to call him but to no avail too. Yeosang closed the bakery and rushed to his friend's house, only for Mrs Kim to tell him that he wasn't at home. He checked with Yeonjun and Soobin but neither had seen him since the college hangout. He didn't know who else to call either so Jongho came to drive him around town in hopes he would be able to find Wooyoung but he had spent two days and still nothing.
"That's why you should stop and we should report to the police instead. After 24 hours, we can make a report. I'm not asking you to give up on your friend," Jongho sighed, knowing Yeosang was just too stressed out.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to yell. It's just...It reminded me of when I went missing and Wooyoung got so scared for me. I can still remember his face when he found me."
"I remember it too, hyung. He was bawling his eyes out and wouldn't stop apologizing."
"Right. So...he really means a lot to me as a friend, Jongho. If something happened to him..."
"Let's leave it to the police to find him, okay? We aren't professionals in finding people."
Yeosang rubbed away his tears and nodded.
It was the next morning when Yeosang tried to call San again. He couldn't believe that San wouldn't be worried about Wooyoung right now but what if the other didn't know he was missing too? He gasped and sat up from his bed when the call was answered.
"San?"
"Who is it?"
"What do you mean who? It's me, Yeosang."
"Oh. Yeosang. What's up?"
"What...what's up?! Where the hell is Wooyoung?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Didn't you contact him or meet up with him recently?" Yeosang unintentionally yelled at San since he couldn't contain his frustration. "Like...two days ago?"
"I did meet up with him but we had an argument and...I told him I would give him some space so I haven't contacted him. I was waiting for him to reach out first," San replied and Yeosang felt like cursing Wooyoung. How could something so convenient like this happen? "What's wrong?"
"Ah.."
"Yeosang?"
"Don't freak out but Wooyoung might be missing."
There was an eerie silence on the other end of the phone before he heard thumping across a floorboard.
"San?"
"When was this? Where and when did you last see him?"
Yeosang tried to answer San's questions as he listened to the other seemingly storming out of his place. "You're not going out to find him, are you? We already made a police report."
"You expect me to just sit still and wait for them?"
Yeosang understood what San meant and if it hadn't been for Jongho, he would still be searching for his friend too. "But you don't know where he could be."
