They had a decent dinner and Wooyoung felt much better since San treated him so well. Pulling his chair out for him, making sure he was fine constantly and ordering food that he would enjoy. They even had a light drink. It sent Wooyoung's heart fluttering and he knew what he felt now better than before or rather, he was more willing to accept his feelings now. He always had feelings for San ever since he met the other at the vending machine. Although the man before him now looked different and even the air around him was different, it didn't change his feelings. In a way, he was Wooyoung's first crush but paired with the guilt of what he had done to him before, he wasn't sure if he was able to give himself a second chance to pursue something proper with San. All he wanted now was just to be a better friend.

"Wooyoung."

"Yeah?"

"There's a music festival coming soon. It'll be on Friday and Saturday. Do you want to go together?"

"Of course. That'll be lovely."

"Great. I'll get us the tickets then."

Wooyoung smiled and nodded. "Thanks."

They walked back to San's car and San drove Wooyoung home. Wooyoung couldn't help taking glances over at his friend and wondered if all the suffering he went through recently was just so he could patch things up with San. Maybe there really was an up for every down. He still couldn't quite understand what kind of 'God's plan' this whole fiasco was but he was just glad San was here. He knew Yeosang warned him not to get together with San just for comfort and he knew he shouldn't either but maybe if there was even a small chance...

He wanted it.

"Thanks for dropping me off," Wooyoung said as he got down from the car.

"Sure."

Wooyoung waved and started heading to his home when he heard a car door open and shut before it was followed by quick footsteps behind him.

"Wooyoung!"

"Hmm?" He spun around and San crashed into him, pulling him into a tight hug. Wooyoung jumped but returned the hug with confusion. "San?"

"Sorry. I just..." San brought a hand up to his cheek and Wooyoung gulped. He gently caressed it as their eyes met. "May I...?"

"Huh?"

"I don't know how you feel about me but...I... I've always wanted to stay by your side."

Wooyoung blinked and almost felt tears brimming out of the corner of his eyes. San leaned closer and Wooyoung closed his eyes, tip toeing a little to get his lips closer. Their lips touched and Wooyoung held onto San tighter. It was a gentle kiss, quick too as San pulled away. Wooyoung wanted more but his feet had to land on the ground and San stood upright.

"Um.. Give it some thought, okay?" San whispered with a nervous tone. Wooyoung cleared his throat and felt heat creep up his cheeks as his heart jumped like crazy in his chest. Was this the chance that he wanted? He nodded instead of replying, feeling like he would say something dumb if he used words right now. "Sorry. I'll go now."

San hurried back to his car and Wooyoung missed his warmth already as he held his own arms and watched San drive away, still trying to come down from his sudden high. He felt antsy and didn't know what to do with his body except to squeal once his mind registered what had just happened. He pulled out his phone and dialed Yeosang's number as he ran up to his apartment.

"Hello?"

"You won't believe what just happened!"

"I hope it's something good at least," Yeosang replied as Wooyoung tossed off his clothes to enter the shower.
