Happiness wasn't something Wooyoung thought he would feel in the midst of his trouble. The problem with the attacker hadn't been solved but since he started dating San, he hadn't come across the other since he almost always leaves the bakery on time when San arrives. At the back of his head, he could almost hear Yeosang telling him that the main suspect in this whole debacle was San but he still refused to believe it. Why? Because he loved San. And he also had different main suspects in mind.

"You really got to go?" San asked while holding his hand in the early morning of Sunday.

"I got a bakery to run so yes?" Wooyoung replied with a laugh as he managed to slip away from the other. San had been staying over more often which he didn't mind either since he felt safer than staying home alone.

"I don't mean that," San whined as he pushed himself out of bed to chase his lover who had slipped into the bathroom to get ready. "I meant tonight. The party."

"Get together? Of course I am. I already gave the okay."

San sulked at the door and Wooyoung pressed a quick kiss to his lips before taking a shower.

"We talked about this already. You get to come pick me up when it reaches 10. That way, even if I get drunk, no one would have time to sweep me home."

"Nooo," San whined. "Don't get drunk. You know I don't like that."

"Silly, we are all grown ups. Of course we will drink. I'll try not to drink so much," Wooyoung sighed as San poked his head into the shower to steal another kiss before removing his clothes to join him but Wooyoung had slid out quickly, knowing that the two of them being close always led from one thing to another and he couldn't afford to be late again like last Sunday when he couldn't peel San off and Yeosang became overrun with work. "And sides, Yeosang would be there too."

"Yeah, so would that guy who kissed you."

"Just to fuck with you, San. Don't let it get to your head."

San sighed and nodded. "Alright. But I'll be there at 10 sharp and if you don't come out by then, I'll go in."

"Yes, sweetie," Wooyoung said cheekily and kissed him again. "Make sure to lock up for me. I have to go now before Yeosang reaches."

"Yes. I'll put the key at the same spot?"

"Yep. Thanks. See you later, Sannie."

"Can't I drop by for a chocolate muffin?"

"Huh? If you want to. I gotta get going now." Wooyoung blew him a kiss and San pretended to catch it before the smaller male rushed off to the bakery. He felt like he could take on anything right now with San by his side again. It was just like before when they were still in school. Even if San didn't know what Wooyoung was up to most of the time, just the thought of San made him feel brave and capable of doing anything until what he did. To think that just the mere thought of San made him spiral into a deep dark place but now, it was back to when they were still friends. Wooyoung knew he would still feel guilty if he thought about it too deeply but for now, he just wanted to enjoy his time with San.

"You're early this time," Yeosang said while putting on his apron.

"Of course. I'm a responsible owner," Wooyoung scoffed as he was already in the midst of making the batter.

"Of course you are," Yeosang replied in a teasing tone and Wooyoung scoffed.

"I am!"

"I didn't say you're not."

"But you made it sound like I haven't been one."

Yeosang paused and Wooyoung raised a brow. He looked like he had something to say but opted not to as he continued with his part of the process.
