"Chongun, hey," Someone whispered far, far away. Chongyun's eyes barely opened, but he saw someone... Someone with dark blue hair and beautiful golden eyes. Someone important to him. Chongyun reached out to grab him and threw his eyes open.

"Woah, calm down." Saya caught Chongyun as he lunged forward. "You okay?"

Chongyun looked around him and took in the warm house and the table in the center of the room. Yes, he was in Mr. Childe's house. That's where he was.

"We're gonna have a team meeting really quick," Saya said, helping Chongyun to his feet. "Are you feeling alright?"

Chongyun nodded and walked over to the table where Mr. Childe was seated. Saya took a seat and Chongyun sat beside her. Mr. Childe opened his mouth to speak, but then Ma walked into the room.

"Teucer is finally in bed, but he wants you," Ma pointed straight at Chongyun. "To play with him tomorrow."

Chongyun smiled and nodded. He liked the little boy. Teucer talked a lot and had energy like nothing Chongyun had ever seen, and he clearly loved his brother and his family.

"Now," Ma sat down at the head of the table. "I know that the three of you all have some very serious fatui business and secrets going on." Mr. Childe tried to add something in, but Ma raised a hand and continued on. "Since you are currently staying in my home, and not in your own house. I am assuming that you are trying not to be found. So you will tell me what it is that you all are up to or you can get a headstart on the walk to your house in the capital."

"Ugh, I love you, Mom," Mr. Childe sighed, looking down at the table. "Though you make that kinda hard sometimes." Mr. Childe looked at Saya and Chongyun and let out another low sigh. "Okay, I got Chongyun into a huge mess and I'm just trying to get him out of it. Saya is a friend of Chongyun and she's helping us figure this out. I don't have a plan and I really need one, but all I know is that I have to get Chongyun out of this country." Mr. Childe looked straight at Chongyun. "As soon as I possibly can."

"Okay," Ma said, standing up from the table. "I trust you, hunny, and I'm here for you." She leaned over and kissed Mr. Childe's head. "Do what you need to and know that this family has always got your back. Even if you don't tell everyone everything, we're here for you, Ajax."

Ma left the room with a soft smile and the three fatui members were left alone at the table.

"Okay, two things," Saya raised her hand and stuck up her two fingers before continuing. "One, what are we supposed to call you? Childe? Tartaglia? Ajax?!"

"Well, since it seems like we'll be staying here for a few days at least..." Mr. Childe ran his fingers through his hair. "You guys can call me Ajax."

"Okay then, Ajax. We now move on to question number two." Saya brushed a strand of hair out of her face and smiled before exploding. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT YOU GOT CHONGYUN INTO THIS MESS?!?"

"W-woah," Ajax whispered, raising a finger to his mouth. "There are kids sleeping and probably a moody sister listening. Let's calm down."

"I will calm down once you have explained, sir!" Saya yelled. She was standing up now and she looked about ready to take on all of the archons at once.

Chongyun raised a hand and nodded. He was also kinda confused. He couldn't have known what was going to happen. He had just been trying to help, right?

"Okay, um," Mr. Childe, Ajax, whoever he was, raised his hands in surrender. "I'll explain everything, just... Please, sit and calm down."

Saya sat down, still glaring at the harbinger.

"Okay, well, at the start of this project I was put incharge of gathering up the karma or "yin" energy that lingered around Liyue harbor." Mr. Childe looked up at them slowly. "During the archon war, Liyue was nothing but a battle zone. Lots of gods and spirits were slain, leaving only their anger and pain behind. Those feelings, thoughts, memories, and thirst for vengeance were all left behind and it poisoned the earth.
