Hello, my darling. A voice echoed through the darkness. It surrounded Chongyun and made it feel as if the darkness was pushing in around him. It felt like he was going to suffocate in the great power of the voice and the enclosing darkness.

Why what's wrong, my little plaything? The voice seemed to chuckle. Didn't you miss me? Or did you somehow manage to forget?

"Who- Who are you?" Chongyun squeaked. His voice sounded so frail and small against the giant one.

So you did forget. Fascinating. The voice seemed to grow closer and Chongyun's breathing became even more strained. You can call me Misses as you did before. I'm sure your memories will start to come back, but it's already too late.

"Wha- What do you mean?" Chongyun managed. He began to curl up into himself. He didn't like talking to Misses.

Your dear, loving friends are doing all the work for me. Misses said. Chongyun could practically hear its smile. They are bringing me closer and closer to the power that I need, and then I will finally be able to take my revenge on Morax.

"But- but..." Chongyun could barely manage to speak with the presence and darkness getting closer and closer. "Won't- won't someone end up getting hurt?"

If all goes according to my plans... Misses drawled off before it seemed to make a decision. Yes. If all goes according to plan, many people will get hurt.

"Then," Chongyun managed to find a bit of strength deep within him. "Then I won't let you! I won't let you hurt my friends!"

Oh, my dear, dear pet. Chongyun's eyes began to grow heavy and it felt like something was pulling at him. Do you really think that you're still the one in control?

Xiao snapped to attention on the roof of the Wangshu Inn. Something was wrong. He could feel it. There was a strong concentration of karma somewhere in the harbor. It hadn't been there a moment ago, what was it?

Xiao was at the harbor in a matter of seconds. He scanned the buildings and the people walking the streets. The sun had set, yet the harbor was still bursting with people. Little did they all know how much danger they were in. Where was it? There.

Xiao raced across the top of the rooftops towards the Bubu Pharmacy. That's where this ominous presence had to be coming from. Something in there was very, very wrong and he was going to put an end to it.

When the building was only a leap away, Xiao stumbled a step forward and froze. The feeling... The concentration of Karma... It was... gone?

As quickly as it had appeared, the karma seemed to have disappeared. Xiao looked up at the moon and stars in the sky. It was getting very late. Maybe Morax had been right, maybe even the vigilant yaksha had to sleep from time to time.

Xiao couldn't shake the feeling that something was happening in the harbor, but maybe it was just the shadows of the past stirring in his tired body.
