Finding Audrey

Audrey's POV

The next morning I'm awoken by Jared getting out of my bed and walking out. But not without a gentle kiss on my cheek. I'm thankful he was here for me last night. I probably couldn't have survived without him here with me. I look over at my clock and it says it's 8:30. Breakfast is at 9:00 so I'd better get up.

I unravel the covers and head to the bathroom in my room. I take a shower and I hum a few chords of The Black Parade. That songs amazing by the way! I tried learning how to play it on the piano but that was drastic! I prefer guitar but I'd be open to learn again. The warm water hurts my fresh cuts and even a few old ones on my legs. After years of doing this to myself I'm still not used to the sting. I let the water flow all on my body and I calm myself. I finish in the shower and shut the water off. I get out and I'm instantly freezing. I quickly wrap a towel around me and do my thing.

When I'm dressed I begin to do my hair. It's about medium length and a really dark brown that could pass as black. I get my straightener and begin on a lock of hair. My eyes are a shade of light blue and they really pop with eyeliner! My complexion is kind of pale but that's just because I never really go anywhere. That's why I wear a little bit of foundation and blush. Being short is such a burden for me. I honestly would love it if I was as tall as Andy Biersack. He can see anything he'd want without having to get on his tippy toes. Seriously, 5'2 is not a good height.

My outfit today is a Black Veil Brides band tee and black ripped up jeans. My combat boots are a lovely match for this outfit. I put on my bracelets consisting of My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Sleeping With Sirens, And Black Veil Brides. But those are my favorite ones, they were actually my first few ones. But I have a whole bunch more. A last minute look in the mirror and I pick my phone up from my bed and head down to breakfast.

I walk down and find Jared eating some pancakes and I take a seat next to him. He slides over a plate of pancakes and a fork and I dig in.

"Morning." He says.

"Good morning."

"So I heard we're having a few visitors come today. Think it could be you this time?"

"Oh well probably not. And if they so happen to pick me I'll be back in 3 days." Last time I was adopted they got so fed up with me because I was in a fight with this girl who bullied me on the first day. And before that was a couple who had me for two days when they told me that I was too "gothic" for their family.

"Oh don't be so hard on yourself. Audrey you're an amazing person. Parents would be lucky to have you as their kid."

"Let's just hope they like bands. And not the whining boy bands!" I say and we laugh.

"And they could also pick you Jared." I say.

"What? Nah. I'm too old." He's 16 and not many parents want a teenager who may or may not be a troublemaker. Not that Jared is its just parents tend to be picky with their orphans.

"Yea like what if they do actually pick you. Would you miss me?"

"Of course Aurdey! You've been there for me and I've been there for you. We're like this." He says crossing his fingers.

"All right children! There are some visitors coming in today and I wish all the best for you! May you find your family and I do wish that you all be on your best behavior!" Says Miss Walters.

After breakfast we all separate. Some go to our little study with books and computers doing their homework others head outside to play on the grass. But me and Jared? We have this special room where no one can find us. It's this room on the top level of he orphanage and hardly anyone goes up there. Nobody really needs to so that's where our hideout is. We get up to head upstairs when Claire Jenkins comes over to me. I never liked her she teases me and I try to stay away from her group of friends.

"Hey Audrey? Um could you come over here with us for a sec?"

"Umm why?"

"We just need your help."

"Oh ok. I'll see you later Jared." I say hugging him and leaving with Claire.

Ashley's POV:

"Dude I can't find her!" Jake says. He's on the laptop looking through orphanages. Me and the band had a wild idea to adopt a kid and the thought of it made my heart sink. I had given up my baby girl when she was just 8 months old. The band had an idea that we try to find her again and we could adopt her as our own. But we don't know where she is. I don't even remember the orphanage I put her in.

"Keep looking! We need to find her!" Andy says. He's just about worried about finding her as I am. He actually helped me make the decision of giving her away. I didn't have enough money and my parents were in a car accident that killed them instantly. I was left again to care for my daughter and I just couldn't take care of her. Laneys parents were angry at me that she had died and they didn't even want to see me or Audrey. I'm frustrated. We've been looking for her for about 3 months and no luck. I go over to the refrigerator and grab a beer.

"Do you really think that's a good idea?" Says Jinxx.

"I don't know... I miss her dammit! I should've been there for her but I gave her up..."

"We'll find her. I promise." Andy says.

"Yea in the mean time, stay away from liquor." Jake says.

After I had given her up for adoption I broke down. I didn't go out of the house. I didn't call anyone I didn't do anything. The only time I did go out was to buy beer and hook up with women. I always felt guilty after sex because deep in my heart, I still loved Laney.

CC is on the couch trying to find her too. He's been sitting there for a while when he suddenly jumps off the couch and throws me the phone.

"I found her I found her!" He says.

"Really?" I say and there she is. My daughter Audrey looks so much like her mother. She has my dark hair and nose. Her cheek bones and paleness comes from her mom. The beautiful blue eyes are a mystery. I don't remember my family having eyes like hers.

"I'll call the orphanage so they can set up an appointment for us." Andy says. She doesn't even know I'm her father. She doesn't have my last name. I gave her Laneys in honor of her death. A few minutes later Andy comes back looking really excited.

"What happened?What they say?" I say.

"They set us up for 1:00 today!" He jumps bro hugging me. Jinxx, Jake,and CC join in on the hug and I'm happy.

"What, 1:00? Oh shit we gotta go!" CC says.

So we all get into cars, mine and Andy's, since we can't all fit in one car and I follow Andy to the orphanage. I'm nervous about seeing her. Will Audrey forgive me? Will she understand why I gave her up? What will I do if she doesn't?
