The Great Pumpkin Spice Debate

Jinxx's POV:
Ashley and the Lil Purdy are coming over along with Andy and CC. Jake couldn't come since he broke his drone and is trying to find someone to repair it. We've got something to discuss with Audrey and we want to make her happy and give her her input.

Alice, my girlfriend, is baking a cake for all of us. It smells really good and it reminds me of fall. I think she mentioned it was Pumpkin Spice flavored or something. But Alice is really into baking, but not so much as cooking. And that's where I come in. ;) The doorbell rings and I go to answer it. In comes Andy and a couple of minutes later CC. We sit in the living room watching a Bengals game that Andy can't miss to watch. 15 minutes later Audrey and Ashley arrive.

"Hey Jinxxy!" Audrey says coming for a hug.

"Ayye you doing good Lil Purdy?" I ask.

"Yea I'm feeling great!"

I lead them into the living room as the Bengals score. Andy screams and jumps up. I clear my throat and we sit together. Andy smiles and turns the tv off.

Audrey's POV:
"So do you know why we're all here today?" Andy asks.

"Umm no? I thought we we're just coming to hang out." I say.

"We are Audrey! But we just want to ask you something." Ashley says.

"Do you remember when we said that you didn't have to go back to school unless you wanted to? And that we would let you go to school online?" Jinxx asks.

"Yea I remember."

"We'll do you still want to attend online? School starts next week and we wanted to know what you wanted." Asks Andy.

"I don't know. If I went to regular school I'd be in high school. Jared would be there since he's older than me. I think he would protect me from bullies. And I know for sure I'll be bullied if I go."

"You won't have to deal with bullies if you go with online though." Says CC.

"As your legal parent Audrey, I want what's best for you. But I do think you should experience high school. Just give it a go and if you can't take it then I'll pull you out and put you online." Says Ash.

"Honestly, high school is depressing. Well at least it was for me Audrey. But it kind of shaped who I am." Jinxx says.

"It's your call Audrey." Andy said.

I don't know. Like I really don't know. Jared will be with me. But that's it. I have to deal with a lot of people in high school and most of them are people who know me. Those people either don't care about me or tortured and taunted me throughout the years. But all of that wouldn't exist if I was enrolled onto an online class. This is a big decision but I don't know if I can make one right now.

"Can I think over it?"

"Of course! Just give us an answer as soon as you can. Just think about what's best for you." Says Ashley hugging me and kissing my cheek.

"Guys the cake is finished!" I smile and take in the smell. A trail of cinnamon and maple waft into the room.

"You haven't meet my girlfriend have you Audrey?!" Jinxx says as we walk into the dining room and kitchen. Alice puts the cake on the dining room table and takes off her apron. She smiles and shakes my hand.

"Hi Audrey I'm Alice!"

Her eyes are a grey storm and her hair is an amazing shade of purple. It's a lavender kind of shade and it's really really pretty. She's tall too. Maybe 5'7? I check her shoes. Damn! She's wearing flats! Tall people -.- Her smile is welcoming and bright. She's so pretty too!

"Hi I'm Audrey!"

"Everyone is welcome to to have a piece of the cake I made!"

"Mmm smells amazing Alice! Smells like French toast." Andy says.

"Is it French toast? Cuz I love French toast!" Says CC.

"I don't know man it smells like that one maple cake that Juliet made that one day." Ash says.

To me it smells like maple but I also smell cinnamon. But a faint fruity smell comes with it too. It's a smell I've smelt at the coffee shop but I can't remember if it was a coffee or a pastry. Smells either to be honest. Either way it smells great. Maybe it's pumpkin spice?

"Nah man it smells like French toast!" Says CC.

"I smell fruit loops is that part of it too?"Andy says. Alice, Jinxx, and I laugh.

"I swear it's the maple cake though! It smells just like it!" Says Ash.

"No guys it's French toast! ITS FRENCH TOAST!" CC says.

Jinxx whispers to me and Alice.

"Are they really arguing over what the cake is?"

"It's pumpkin spice actually." Alice stifles a giggle.

I gasp. "I knew it!"

And for a good 10 minutes they argued over what it was. During those 10 minutes not one of them even tasted it to see what the cake actually tasted like. Alice, Jinxx, and I cut pieces for ourselves and enjoyed the pumpkin spice while they debated. These guys get into the strangest conversations ever. They literally fought over what the flavor of the cake was. Like the answer is either to ask Alice or eat the cake. Andy in the end, (see what I did there? *wink wink) was the one to finally just give up on arguing what it was and ate a piece. Then after that Alice told the guys it was pumpkin spice. The argument was pointless. Neither one was right!
