~Ashley's POV~
I roll over and almost fall out of bed. My phone drops to the floor with me and hits my foot. I get up and throw my blanket on the bed and go downstairs to make coffee and some breakfast.
Today is the first day for recording. And since I have Audrey I'm thinking of taking her with me. But since it's early in the morning I doubt she will. I pop the frozen waffles in the toaster and get glasses and fill them with juice. I put some strawberries on the side and syrup on top of the waffles. I walk quietly up the stairs and walk into Audrey's room.
I creep up to her bed and she's sound asleep. I hear snoring but it's not Audrey. I shift the cover to see Tokyo's fur. I didn't know she slept up here. She never liked going upstairs for some reason before Audrey came around.
"Hey darling it's time to get up." She groans and shuffles. She slowly opens her eyes.
"Get up for what?"
"Do you want to go to the studio today with me?" She opens her eyes wide and smiles.
"Yea! But it's sooooo early!" She looks over to her clock on her nightstand. It's 9:30.
"I'll let you sleep in the car Audrey."
"Okay dad..."
I walk out and walk down the stairs. Wait, did she just call me dad!?
Audrey's POV:
Ash said I could come with him to recording today! I roll out of bed and leave Tokyo tucked in. I go to the bathroom and do my thing. I changed into a MCR shirt and some white skinny jeans. I do my makeup complete with the eyeliner and I straighten my hair. Tokyo wakes up and watches me do my hair. She stretches her body and wags her tail. The smell of breakfast made my stomach actually growl so I go downstairs with Tokyo.
"I made waffles!" Ash says.
"Mmmm they smell great!" They have strawberries on them! I love strawberries man. They're my favourite fruit.
I dig in and so does Ash. After breakfast he cleans up while I feed Killer and Tokyo. I play with them and pet them until it's time to go. Ash goes to the closet in the hallway and pulls out a leather jacket. It's summer here in California why does he need a jacket? Wait, what am I saying? I wear jackets all year!
"I'd take a jacket if I were you." Ash says.
"Why?"
"Because it gets really cold sometimes in the studio. The thermostat broke last time and the temperature went down the whole time."
"Ohhh. Alright be right back." So I run back upstairs to get my jacket and we leave.
We drive through traffic and we listen to the pop station. I'm not much of a pop fan but so,e of it is kind of good. I check my phone and see that it's 10:15 in the morning. That's not as early as I'm used to. We get to the studio and walk in. Ash leads us into a room and there all the guys except CC sits on couches.
"Morning guys!" Ash says sitting next to Jinxx. I sit next to Andy and I look over to him. He's watching Batman on his phone. I wonder what his Netflix password is hehe.
"Where's CC?" I ask.
"He'll be here in a minute." Jake says.
"He went to go get himself some breakfast." Says Jinxx.
And at that moment CC bursts in with 3 bags from Cefco.
"HEY GUYS!! OMG YOU BROUGHT THE LIL PURDY??" CC says.
"Dude chill it's too early to yell." Ash chuckles. What is in the bags? What could he have bought that he had to have 3 bags? Knowing CC it was probably something crazy. He comes over and throws a bag at me.
"What's in it?" I ask.
"Just some breakfast I picked up." Says CC.
I opened the bag and there's nothing but candy in here! Skittles, M & M's, Starburst,
Licorice, Pop Rocks, and Fun Dip. If I dug around more I'd probably find even more candy.
"OMG POP ROCKS!!" I say.
"I knew you'd love them! It's just something to cheer you up from last night."
"Thanks CC! Nothing like a bag full of candy!" I run over to him and give him a huge hug.
"You're welcome lil Purdy." He whispers in my ear.
The guys talk band stuff in the recording room and I sit in the corner eating Pop Rocks. It's the green ones and it's really sour. There like 5 packets of the stuff and I really really want to eat it all. I dig through the bag more and find Bottle Caps, Tootsie Rolls, Snickers, and a packet of gum. How much did this all cost!? He brought 3 bags and I wouldn't doubt the other two didn't have less than mine. Jinxx comes out of the recording room and comes to me.
"Come in here Audrey we need you for a sec." What? I'm not talented why you need me??!? I throw the bag of candy on the couch and follow Jinxx into the recording room.
"Why do you need me?" I ask.
"Remember when you said you had written a song? And remember when I said we could put it on our record?" Jinxx says.
"Wait, I thought you were kidding!" He didn't mean it did he? What if nobody likes it? The guys laugh.
"We're serious. We could help you with lyrics if it's not finished." Andy said.
I sit down in a chair and Ashley hands me an acoustic guitar.
"Just play what you got and we'll take it from there." Ashley said.
I take a deep breath. I've never sang in front of people before. What if they don't like it? What if the songs not good enough? I glance at the scars peeking from under my jacket sleeves. I held myself back on so many things. I still kind of do to be honest. I remind myself to just try. There's no such thing as failure when you're trying, Jinxx told me one day. And so I begin to play the song.

The song is short and the lyrics probably don't make sense. That's why I got frustrated when I tried adding more to it. Jared liked it but he told me to finish it when I asked him for help. But I just couldnt. It's writers block that always got me. I know the guys won't want it. It doesn't seem like a song they'd like.
"It's actually not that bad!" Jinxx said. He smiled at me.
"Yea this record is a concept record and I feel we can pull the song off with it!" Said Andy.
"So you like it?" I ask. Do they really like it? I don't even have a title!
"Yea!" All five of them said. They smiled and Ashley seemed kind of proud. It seemed that they genuinely like my song.
"I could help you write down a few more versus if you like. Even Ashley, he writes great lyrics!" Andy said.
"I'd love that!" I said.
Oh my god my songs going to be on an album!!! Not to mention a Black Veil Brides album!! I didn't think they like it but they actually do! And I get to write with Andy and Ash too! Oh wow wait till I tell Jared about this when I meet him at the mall this weekend!
