Eva had no idea why she had said yes to him. It wasn't exactly a yes, it was more like a 'hmm'. And he had kissed her again and it had made her stomach whine with crazy butterflies that erupted wildly. She was back in her cabin, trying to concentrate on her work yet all she could think about was him.

Eva liked him since college. And everybody knew that. But she also knew that she did not hold a candle to Vivian Hamilton. He deserved only the best. He deserved someone like Vera Gonzalez. Not her.

Who was Vera Gonzalez?

She was the most popular girl in the entire college. The most beautiful girl in that class. Though she was not in her section, she heard her friends talking about Vera all the time.
She was in Section B while Vera and Vivian were in Section A. She barely visited that section. She was invisible as a student. She was good in studies and she topped her class but she wasn't beautiful in such a classical way.

Nobody noticed her. Ever.

She had only seen Vivian from afar all this while. And now? Suddenly, he was asking her to go on a date with him. But why? Why?

She couldn't find the answer within herself because she didn't know the answer! She was as bedazzled as anyone. Why would Vivian Hamilton ask her on a date after two years? And the first day she had come to this office, he had refused to even recognize her. He didn't even remember her and she didn't blame him. She was invisible. She barely looked at him, she barely went to the cafeteria. But when she went, all she could do was to stare at him from afar and wish she could be close to him.

This boy who used to plague her dreams two years ago was now her boss. And he had been treating her with contempt. But today, he was asking her out. She didn't know how to believe it. She didn't understand any part of it. She only remembered how he had kissed her. Oh, it was such a beautiful feeling. His soft lips had descended over hers, making her feel so passionate and intense.

She did not know she could feel like this. He had gripped her waist tightly. And he had pulled her towards him like he could not breathe without her. She had no idea how to feel okay after this. Something within her had changed. And the reason for that change was Vivian Hamilton.

After that, she had done her work and had mailed him his schedule. While chalking out his schedule for tomorrow, he noticed that he had scribbled something. Meeting with Vera.

Her heart fell. She experienced a kind of sadness that suddenly dulls your mood, makes you shrink back. As she laid her back on the chair, her eyes resting on the computer screen, upon his scribble, she wondered if it was that Vera.

But Vera could be anybody's name. Still, she somehow felt in the deepest corner of her heart that this was Vera Gonzalez, the girl who used to study with them in the Business class. Something broke inside her. Two years ago, getting Vivian Hamilton was a dream. And now that he had asked her to go on a date with him, it finally seemed like a dream that was going to be fulfilled; a wish that was going to come true.

But she knew her fate. It wasn't all roses and honey.

Her parents had died leaving her sick brother with her to take care of. Her life was already a mess. Now that she had finally gotten a piece of a long envisioned dream, Vera was probably back. She told herself that Vera could be anybody's name but what if it was that girl?

That beautiful blonde girl who had glassy caramel eyes, straight golden hair and that white, creamy skin. She was voluptuous. She was curvy. She was wonderful in every damn way possible, unlike her.

Eva looked at herself at the reflection of the window pertaining to the clear blue skies. Her hair was short.
Her eyes were small, her lips thin. And she was short and petite. Most men did not like women who were like that. They liked women who were sexy and curvy. They liked women who were classically beautiful. Vivian Hamilton was a Billionaire and he belonged to the most prestigious family in America. Obviously, he would always go for the kind of girl that Vera was; for the kind of girl she could never be.
