"I want the answer! I'll go on a second date with you."

Vivian didn't think she would say that. Of course, what else would she say? He had put her in a tight position; and as any curious person, she had agreed to his wicked plans. All he wanted was to make her say yes to a second date. That was it.

The thing that had shocked him more was her get-up. Generally, women dress to impress him. But she had no such intention; she had come here in jeans. She was probably the only female to have worn jeans to a date. It was strange, yet adorable somehow. She seemed comfortable in her own skin and that was a unique trait.

"Tell me," Her voice brought him back to the reality where she was peering at him, willing to know his answer.

"Eva, you seem like a great person. You were in the same University as me, and I really admired you...from afar."

The problem was he had never really seen or met her. During his time with Vera, she had mentioned 'Eva' as her best friend and confidante. Except for that, he hadn't heard anything about her. She had practically been an illusion for him; until one day, that very illusion had grown ten-folds and destroyed his reputation to shreds.

"Really? Why didn't you-" She regained her poise. "Why didn't you talk to me?"

"I didn't know how you'd react. I was scared and immature."

"What? You were scared?"

She sounded surprised and he nodded. "What, can't I be scared?"

Another batch of food came shortly. She looked at her plate and then at him. Somehow, the way she looked at him was so weirdly off-putting. He didn't know how to react to her stare. She looked at him, right at his soul and it probed in some deep dark corner of his heart.

"You can be, I guess." She mumbled, taking a bite of her food. "It's great...thank you for this."

He ate his food silently. He had so many plans today. He had wanted to don his most charming self and impress the freak out of her but he was unable to do that. Instead, he had a restless beat of his heart and decided to eat his food with his mouth shut.

She was gobbling her food down like she hadn't eaten in months. She looked too carefree for her own good. The fact that she wasn't trying even a little bit hard to impress him, shocked him. He had always assumed that she would be a people pleasing kinda person.

"So, you make your own accessories, huh?" He asked, sipping on his wine.

She shuddered a little and then shrugged. "Yes. Small little things, nothing too extravagant."

"Like that layered golden chain? I haven't seen anything quite like it." It was true. He considered himself one of the most fashionable guys but she wore unique things. Handmade things.

"Yeah, like I had three small golden chains. So, I mean like I cut them up and joined them and made it a three layered chain because you know, I don't have any clothes that are appropriate for a date, I think. I have  always been a very 'shirt and jeans'  kind of girl. I don't have many dresses, just some formal dresses that I bought for this job."

"And, that's why I really like to accessorize, to elevate simple attires. It's what I've been doing for two years now."

Her words left a sad undertone which he could sense. His heart dropped at the thought because it seemed she didn't have much money on her to buy expensive chains or dresses; so she made them herself.

"And it's not a gold chain, by the way." She clarified, sipping her wine.

He realised he had been staring at her  neck like a fucking pervert so he stopped, lowered his gaze and concentrated on the food. "It doesn't matter if it's gold or not...your talent is what matters..."
